Is anyone annoyed that these two seemed to have no interaction in X3 after spending all of x2 together in that god awful jet. Am I the only one who was like omg storm has to try and take out phoenix in the finally battle or visa-versa. To me this was the most disappointing thing about the film. I mean not even a one liner between them

yea they were best friends in the comics.

yep it would have been a great fight but then again what if they had phoenix ash storm? best to not kill anymore people! mortality rate is too high already

I agree.

I did not like how fast they made Storm turn against Jean. That would have never happened like that in the comic. iT was cheap writing.

I wanted them to try to reason with Jean at the end and then to fight her as A TEAM. Not with some cheesy wolverine stand off that would never have worked anyway. Again cheap writing.

Storm is my favourite character but suddenly she was like "you know what needs to be done". That came out of nowhere, I mean that they had such sisterly chemistry in x2 in the church and jet. The little smirks and smiles.

i agree, in the comics, i remember that jean telepathically visited storm so they could catch up on things and bond when they were far away from each other.

Please remember that this is not the Storm from the comics clearly.

I think Storm gave up on Jean, because she killed the Professor.

I think it was their goal to make it Wolverine and Jean at the end and they just did what needed to be done to achieve it.

I would have preferred reasoning and fighting as team against Jean over wolvy taking her on one on one.

i think so, too. still, they could have at least made storm struggle with deciding where she stood where jean/phoenix was concerned. storm said 'she made her choice...', but we all know jean didn't choose to become the phoenix and kill xavier. storm should've know that, and been more sensitive to it. that was a great oppritunity for storm, as the new leader, to struggle with deciding who to protect, jean, her friend for who knows how long, or her new students, who need to be protected from both phoenix and humans.

yeah she didnt like really even look at her. I think a perfect moment would have been when Xavier was getting killed. I really dont think all that pressure that was building was affecting Storm as she can fight over that and even has used the pressure of Jupiter on opponents. I think she should have tried to save Xavier in a way. Maybe I dont know a huge tornado focused only on Dark Phoenix and try to protect Xavier in someway w/an electric forcefield as she has herself from telekinetic attacks.

But I know that would be too much.

Yeah, it would have been cool if we had seen some kind of slight remberance between the 2 with the assist of eye contact. Some sort of an understanding that what's done is done and there would be no turning back would they each had to do. Oh,well.

Storm took on Jean in the mansion, but it was horribly done and liked it better with it cut.

After Jean killed Scott and the Professor, I think Storm knew that there was no way Jean would be back to normal. Both of the people who might've been able to help her are dead. If I was in Storm's position, I'd tell Wolverine he needs to be ready to possibly kill her. That sounds so morbid, but...:o

If she stopped, and tried to help Jean, then more X-Men would've died. If she would've stayed to fight against Jean, she would've died, IMO. Yeah, FOX maybe just wanted Wolverine/ Jean to have their 'moment', but I think it was the best decision to have Wolverine tackle her, since he could heal from the attacks. If Storm was walking towards Jean she would've been dust (excuse the pun) :p

Has anyone considered the possibility that Storm was justifiably angry with "Jean"?

"Jean" vaporized the only true father figure in Storm's life (Xavier pratically raised her after having lost her own father in death), and murdered her figurative brother, trainer and colleague Scott Summers. And if it weren't for Logan's healing properties, "Jean" would certainly had destroyed him too. ALL of these actions were done in cold blood. And the Dark Phoenix showed zero remorse for her actions.

You guys really expect Storm to try to reason with her? I think not.

And this would have been just as short a battle for Storm as It was for all those other guys who were vaporized.

I could care less, there were so many other problems with the movie, this is just item number 1001.

I honestly wish this movie had never been made.

Storm is pretty idealistic in the comics, that is my interpretation. She always does what is best for the greater good. I was reading the comics in which rogue comes to join the x-men and Storm's fury against the professor is pretty hardcore...so I don't think it's so far fetched for Storm to protect what is left of the X-Men against a friend who's turned on them...much like Charles and Magneto

Well it could be Berry's terrible performance (three in a row now) but she just had no compassion. She didn't seem to really care Scott died (Jean cared in her own way as did Xavier and Logan but Storm was like "whatever."). Then she has no remorse. She could know faster that she had to kill Dark Pheonex but she was so blaze about it. She didn't seem to think of her any different from Magneto.

Also the writing was terrible, "You don't want to, because you love her." and then Logan replies "Yeah, I love her."

Horrid.

I agree...to a point. Not that the movie was horribly written but that Storm was too cold. Yes, she never had the sisterly bond with Jean that she did in the comics but in this film she came off like a "good guy" version of Magneto and that's just not right. Yes, Halle got a lot more to do and didn't seem like a background character but I think she was a little harsh considering she's a member of the X-men

:o

Unless you saw a different film than I did, Storm seemed to show quite a bit of compassion and sorrow over the death of Xavier. She also seemed shocked and in disbelief over the insinuation that Scott had also been killed. Or did you forget these scenes?

She didn't show the same feelings for Jean, but maybe that's because--maybe--=Gasp!= Jean was the same murdering denominatior in both of the deaths.

Didn't IGN confirm a Storm VS Phoenix fight??

In the mansion I believe ... OMG... -shuts his eyes- Jean in her short shorts... fighting Ororo :o :o
