Comics Jean and the Phoenix Force

???But everyone does that. I just never knew how to. Whats so specail about that?

Oooookay.

Edit: Hah! I did it! Nah nah na nah na!

See? Now...help me Phoenix Fans about combining both movieverse and Comicverse Jean into one. thank you.

That should be interesting. Why don't u go to non Phoenix fans as well.

yeah. we can help too. we wont mess up ur movie.

I have a pretty good idea of whats going to happen to the X-Men and Jean. Its just the matter of explaining how Jean comes back to life...and retains the Phoenix within herself...and I want to incorporate the end of X2 when you see the firebird in the water where Jean's body is protected by her cocoon of telekinetic energy. :p I want to be able to explain how Jean becomes the Phoenix itself. That its apart of her in some way and that she will always claim the enity of the Phoenix when she dies and is reborn. To explain why the Phoenix chose Jean as its perfect host...why one cannot live without the other, etc. Furthermore, I think Jean's death in the end of x3 was a great set up b/c there are ways you can explain how she rises again and is able to retain the Phoenix. She may still be the same Jean we all know and love, she may have more control over her powers and the Phoenix within her, struggling to be free... but in some ways, Jean may find herself to be too powerful...thus trying to control the phoenix within herself. I like to go with Singer's idea of the X-Men facing an evolution far greater than any of them have ever witness in their life time and why some of the X-men feel that theres more to Phoenix than meets the eye. This story will center around Jean's love for Scott. I still haven't decided yet on how Im gonna bring him back. Though I have this idea where Jean and Logan and a few X-Men go to Alkali Lake. Im thinking the team consists of Iceman, Angel, Kitty and Beast. Storm stays behind at the mansion with Pete, Nightcrawler and Rogue and hmmm other X-Men too...

So im thinking the group searches for more clues about what happens to Scott. I think this scene will add tremendous amount of character development, especially for Bobby and Logan and as well as Jean. I think at some point, scary s*** starts happening and theres a battle... Im not sure what against...but it takes place in the winter and on the ice plains. CRACk...Jean falls in or I dunno something happens to her anyway...and the near the end, she rises towards the earth's atmosphere and floats around in space. :p ... caw caw. something like that. or I might save that for another scene regarding Jean's turmoil and stuff...like that..

logan doesnt need devlopment!! he was the center of two movies.

no no no. your missing it...er...logan only comes into the story when the X-Men and Jean need him. Thats it. He'll only be in the key scenes that'll drive the plot foward, but its mostly Jean's and Scott's scenes that do that. So trust me. Its not what you think. You think Logan will dominate in my story? think again. I could disregard the second half of his development in X3 and carry on with his development in X2. I just want to write him as the likeable guy than the first two. I mean in this story, he's settled down and he's still the badass Logan from the first movie. he's still that beast, but still has a bit of the good-nice guy in him. He's not that selfish prick that he was before. As for his feelings for Jean, he puts those feelings aside but a part of him still loves her as a friend...a brother, someone whom Jean could confide in...he could be her support, as a team member, a friend, an X-men but he could never replace Scott in Jean's heart and he knows that, despite how she feels for him in return. anyway. like I said, im not gonna go into too much development for Logan and Im not gonna tinker around in his past. He should be over that already... "I'll take my chances with them."

You... you're trying to brainstorm in a Phoenix thread. Goddamn it, you stole my idea! Or I stole yours...

Just my two cents on Jean and the Phoenix:

No, the Phoenix is not Jean. The Phoenix is the force of life itself. It is balance within the universe. To achieve balance, the Phoenix must destroy the 'dead ends' of creation so that other life can begin.

But on Earth, something new to that planet has surfaced: mutants. Perhaps they are merely isolated quirks in genetic material. But maybe they are the evolution of mankind, 'homo superior' as Magneto likes to say.

And one mutant, Jean Grey, with her mutant powers, called upon the power of life itself, the Phoenix, to save her friends, and in the comic, to save the world. However, the Phoenix is not a sentient thing. It is not mortal. It cannot love, cannot feel. It has only a purpose.

So when Jean calls this infinite power into herself, she becomes something else entirely. Through Jean's eyes, it sees that humanity may be destined to become extinct, its focus tainted by Jean's mortal experiences. Through Jean's mind, it develops a voice. Through Jean, the Phoenix finds a purpose: the destruction of humanity.

When Jean 'died', she incubated herself in the lake, waiting until she could gather her 'peices'; to develop the ability to control the Phoenix. But through an unfortunate accident, she is woken up too early. She is confused, unable to control it. In any case, such power cannot be properly contained within a mortal body. This is what takes away Jean's ability to reason. She becomes a destructive force that destroys through perception, not natural selection. She becomes the Dark Phoenix.

All she has left is her love for her friends and family, and her compassion for humanity as a whole. She is the Dark Phoenix, but she is still Jean, fighting to make things right. She knows that the Phoenix does not belong in a mortal body; she knows she needs to die to save the world. That is her struggle.

Well, that's been a fun explaination/brainstorm session. I need to write this all down.

...

I didn't steal your idea...this is just what came up at the top of my head. I was just asking how I could come up with a logical explaination about Jean and Phoenix... I did say in my other post about the Phoenix choosing Jean as a host...I wasn't referring to them being as one but in a way when the Phoenix is within Jean's body, they are one. But when the Phoenix isn't, then yeah, she's a force of life in search of a host depends if Jean's body is destroyed- meaning the Phoenix will have to find another host but it will always make its way to Jean's body. I was referring to the events from the end of X2 and X3 and Endsong surrounding Jean and how the Phoenix comes into play. How do I make it work so it fills in the gaps...

For example...she dies near the end of x2...comes back in x3...dies near the end...in my story, She rises again but this time she rises from her grave, not the lake...

That would be a cool way of bringing her back and incorporating the comics ... it wasnt Jean, it was Madelyne! sweet!

^^Agreed! And I love the GIF Darkness.

 Did you make that up? Or is that real? Either way, I feel sorry for Jean. :( Rest in peace sista.

i never thought about that. psiforce is a genius! jean can come back but explain it was madylene eho wandered the astral plane and manifested to the physical world with the help of phoenix who was wandering the cosmos or somethin? help me out... for Dod

a ghost or somethin. her story is on uncannyxmen.net. she was a psi shell until X-man animated her and started datin her.
and what i like about her is that she developed more power wise even thought jean had the force. she could shunt her self syhcokinetically through the astral plane to her location and siphon off other psi mutants to increase her own powers ( thats why she fooled around with X-man)

DOD, get yo @** back on this thread. we breakin new ground you aint even on the thread.

Well okay. im here lol. I came up with the Madelyne gif myself last night. lol
