The Dark Knight Jett finally gives us something to talk about! (ie Harvey Dent)

God, I love that pic. I wish Liev would get it. Hell, I wish either Liev, Joaquin Phoenix, Clive Owen, John Cusack, or Guy Pearce. Bailey has the face of Dent but haven't really seen him in alot of stuff, Edward Norton is more a Riddler candidate but I'd be ok with him, but Jamie Foxx is more Marvel's Black Panther or D.C.'s Green Lantern (John Stewart).

I hope Jett is just dropping names again. His site has been really slow reporting things so I'm guessing he really has got nothing, his sources are just coming out of left and right field, and he's probably pulling it all out of his ass.

I want to hear the confirmation from Nolan soon who is playing Dent. And out of the two names Bailey and Norton are the best. Jamie, sorry I loved "Ray", "Dreamgirls", "Collateral", and "Miami Vice" was a good gritty cop-drama but you're not Dent.

I look at Norton, I dont see a "Golden Boy" type aura to him. I see that in Foxx and from the pics I have seen, I think Bailey could too.

I think Foxx is a good actor, I think he could nail the role and I think most people here object to him because of his race, not his ability. I don't think Harvey is a character were race matters.

I have to disagree with that part. Even though to some it may be about race. Everything doesn't have to be based on race. I for one am of the same race as Jamie Foxx(love Some of his movies) and I just can't see him as Dent. I agree with some of the other people. If they were going for an African-American I could see Denzel being Dent before Jamie. (even though he's alot older). Sure Jamie won an Oscar and is a pretty good actor but to me when I think of Harvey Dent (pre 2 face) I think of "distinguished". Fox just doesn't give me that vibe. Denzel has has that distinguished vibe. Hell even Billy Dee has/had that vibe.
Sure he's a good actor but every role doesn't fit every actor. IMHO

Bailey is by far the best choice here IMO. he's got the look. He's a decent actor.

Honestly, I think Harvey's facial disfigurement will work better with certain faces. Any roundness/chubbyness/babyfacedness isn't going to work well with the make up. The mure chiselled the better. Harvey's supposed to be good looking - and vain about it - so that the contrast betweenscarred and not-scarred is maximized.

And he's a decent actor. He wouldn't be being considered if he wasn't. Frankly I think this is a better choice than most or all of the other rumours.

He could do it. I liked him also in the Inside Man.
I see plenty in those films that suggest he could pull off a great Two-Face. But I see nothing that indicates he can pull off the boyish, funny, likeable, and all around "man of the people" that is Harvey Dent.

I don't think Clive Owen is anywhere near the right choice. I just don't think the guy is really likeable enough. He can be intense, sure, and would probably do a mean Two-Face, but can Owen be everbody's favorite DA, who's funny and likeable and charming?

Well, that definitely depends on the movies with him that you have seen. I definitely found him likeable (in a more sympathetic way, "charming and funny" weren't really in his character) in Children of Men. Definitely check it out, though, not just for him. Michael Caine is great as well (as always) and cinematically it is spectacular.

Dent' personality, however, depends on how his character is written (i.e. if he really is written as "funny"). That's just not how I imagined him, and if that's what you're looking for, then yeah, Owen might not be the choice..

Oh, it's a fine film. I just don't see any Harvey Dent there.

Well, he's certainly not the Harvey Dent of BATMAN: YEAR ONE or THE LONG HALLOWEEN, the Dent that I want.

And casting him would cause add a MASSIVE stir to the movies in terms of marketing and extra audience appeal...which would be great.

Agreed. If Nolan really wants to "aim high," Foxx isn't a bad choice. Not to mention that a little controversy could only bring more publicity as well. And all these whinging fanboys will still be in line to see the movie on opening day.

I saw Foxx in "Dreamgirls" recently, and there's one scene where Jennifer Hudson provokes him, and he tells her to back off. In that brief exchange, he reminded me of Harvey from BTAS when Thorn was trying to blackmail him and his rage was getting the best of him. I think Foxx is a great actor, but there's someone else waiting in the wings who could be so much better.
Norton is a great actor, and he's done some of the best work of his generation, but he's not a Two-Face. He'd make a good Riddler or probably a decent Joker, but Two-Face he ain't. I think Clive Owen would make for a pretty formidable Two-Face, and a charming Harvey Dent.

Norton is the best of the three choices, but even he doesn't get me that excited. He's a truly excellent actor, but he doesn't really embody Dent for me.

Bailey, I've never seen in anything, so I guess I'll hold my judgement.

Foxx, I don't hate him, but I'd prefer not to see him in the role.

Jamie Foxx would definitely fit the same "what the ****" category as Ledger.

Well I loathed Ledger at first but I have become more and more interested in seeing him as the Joker. I like Jamie Foxx to a point but I don't like him as Dent. If they go with a black actor I would like to see someone like Denzel.

NEVER FEAR FELLOW FAN BOYS! FOXX WILL NEVER BE CAST!

I know this for a fact. Nolan would never pick him just like he would never pick Jolie for Selina.

Is this really the guy you could see as DENT?

Watch Booty Call and you see what I mean. Once again, got nothing against the dude. Just can't see him in the role. You want a black actor that could?

I'm done.

Maybe this is a better comparison...

For the last time.....BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES' Harvey Dent is not African American. Bruce Timm was quoted in the commentary on one of the season's DVD's as saying, "Our Harvey Dent is definitely white".

Heh well shame Norton is out but Bailey may work if he had some of the qualities to play Bruce

Bailey would be good. Norton I think wouldn't do it. Foxx, maybe.
