Still, the links don't really tell me much. Is it like an interview style show like what would Leno or Conan would do? I see it's from Comedy Central, but it doesn't mean they can't do some serious stuff. I guess what I want to know if he's the kind of guy that, even in his comedy, will needle you with insightful questions or batter you with the blunt thruth.

Edit: Thanks Elijya, but even though it costs me "you sux00rz" comments down the line; I don't watch the Daily Show either. I've only seen bits and pieces and some news are really stupid things, while others are important stuff that get replied to with hard hitting sarcasm laced with truth.

The Colbert Report is semi-serious. It's basically a satire on Bill O'Reilly, or similar commentators. Stephen Colbert "plays" himself as an over the top political commentator. They deal with real issues and guests, but in a satirical way.

The host, Stephen Colbert, plays a character that's sort of a parody of conservative talk show hosts like Bill O'Rielly. So he'll report on real news then usually give a slapstick or exaggerated conservative reaction to the news. That's on the newsgiving segments of the show, but he's usually more serious with guests
