This looks like Anna Karenina crossed with Hanna, with a bit of Pride and Prejudice thrown in.

Im surprised this is coming out in Summer. It looks like the perfect family Christmas movie, but I doubt it'd stand a flea's fart's chance in a hurricane against Star Wars TFA. For that matter Im not sure how it will do in this coming summer. What's its competition in July?

Considering his vastly different demeanor throughout the trailer, I am pretty sure the theatrical bits are a part of Blackbeard's control of the people. But please, don't put too much thought into it.

Rooney Mara is great but I wish she stayed away from this.

Ok, everyone is aware that ancient Europeans also had tribes too? Brown people arent the only humans capable of developing a nomadic or tribal society. In fact its our ability to group into a tribe andnot kill each other that got us where we are. Could the tribe in the film use more diversity? That depends. Is it made up of kidnapped kids from all over the world, or did it grow out of a single Caucasian couple? More importantly...does it ****ing matter. Not one bit. Will the film waste time explaining the demographics of a magical tribe and their obviously fantastical culture in a fantasy land? I certainly hope not. Not every thing today needs to be handled like some noble battle against the chains of racism. Not everything is racist.

If they start dancing around and doing brave calls and doing rain dances and calling each other things like big chief who squats on rock Ill call it what it is, but right now this isn't an issue. Humans of all races and backgrounds have developed tribes. It isn't a human behavior exclusive to Native Americans.
