I hope it's good, I tend to like Pan related stuff.... but I think I need to see more before I get a feel of if I want to see it in theaters or not

Pursed lips are the new "meh."

Garrett Hedlund sound just like Daniel Plainview (or John Huston), ha ha. Amazing.

raise your hand if you didnt know that Hedlund was Hook until they show the name .

nice to see Jackman in an over the top performance.

we need a fantasy adventure movie with a young main character. this movie needs be good and start a new trend.

It looks ok but not here for Indiana Jones pretending to be anything named Hook. And dont know what they thought when casting Tiger Lilly. But no Tinkerbell?

They were obviously looking for names in these roles, so that's probably part of the issue. The only unknown is the kid playing Pan.

Eh, it looks to me like they did away with the Native Americans and changed the tribe in to people of all nationalities. The man who speaks of the necklace looks Indian and there is a woman behind him who looks Japanese. Kind of a cool way to do it, if you ask me. People are so touchy about Native Americans lately and you can't put on a headdress these days without having fingers pointed at you. Sigh.
The kid looks great which to me is always a deal breaker with these movies. I didn't even notice it was Amanda Seyfried as Peters mother at first.

Yeah, but it's not like Rooney's or Hedlund's films are exactly setting the world on fire. I like both of them, but just because their both recognizable actors doesn't equate to them being box office draws. It's most likely going to be Jackman and familiarity with the Pan story that pull people in, so they could have cast a relatively unknown Native American actress in the Tiger Lily role.

To my knowledge, Native Americans overall don't have a problem with headdresses and things of that nature when films are depicting Native American culture during the 1800s and other periods throughout history where it is appropriate. What many of them have a problem with are idiots (who are usually white) at football games and other sporting events wearing headdresses, wearing warpaint and beating on drums all in the name of their favorite team. They consider it to be a mockery of their culture and they're right; they're not mascots.

I suppose this film may get a pass for this since it takes place in a fantasy world, but, Tiger Lily is typically portrayed as Native American and it's a shame that they didn't stick with that.

Aside from one or two questionable castings, this still intrigues me more than any of Disney's live action movie so far.

is the flute pan how he got the name? or is hollywood still trying to copy Nolan's ''realism'' ?

Yeah, I understand both sides of the arguement.
I just get the feeling they are avoiding causing any controversy by just not going there, sadly instead it'll turn into that they're dishonoring people by not including it.

You can see Hugh Jackman's wig is badly stuck on when he says "Welcome to Neverland!".

Until Tomorrowland comes out. That **** will melt your brain.

I immediately thought of the mines in TOD when I saw the child labor in the trailer. :oldrazz:
