Yeah sorry to burst yalls bubbles but lightsabers being exclusive to force users hasn't been canon ever. It is the weapon of the Jedi but it isn't exclusive to them. Anyone who can fight with a sword or a vibro blade can fight with a lightsaber.

Quoted because I agree with you. As a Black man I was hoping that we would get another Black Force user (who hopefully won't die in this new trilogy), but sadly it looks like this might not be the case.

Me too. Still hoping he is FS but if he is not than I call JJ/Disney's marketing of the character complete ******** and gross. All in effort to hide that the protagonist of freaking star wars movie is force user and will fight the antagonist of the movie. I'm shocked I tell you shocked. Lets insult the audience's intelligence while getting up the hopes of millions of people only to say ha ha fooled you idiots. The whole thing would make no sense if Finn's character arc doesn't have anything to do with being force user.

The idea that anyone can use LS well enough totally ruins the special of LS for me also.

I know others don't see it that way but I don't really care. Is how I would feel about the whole thing and it would be bridge to tarabithia all over again.

It must really destroy you that this film is critically acclaimed and will be a huge hit unlike the prequels. Lucas couldn't write and direct himself out of a paper bag. Nothing against him personally he seems like a nice guy but he is a poor director and writer. He is an abysmal director when it comes to actors and below average when it comes to anything else associated with directing and he is a dismal writer all around. His dialogue is utterly atrocious and unnatural.

Boy is that a lot of baseless assumption or what. Damn.
First, I'm glad Boyega is getting good reviews. I expected nothing less seeing that he is good actor with great charisma. He seemed to have elevated the cliche thin role he is given.

I never demanded or wanted Finn/Boyega to be lead or badass or whatever. I had no expectation other than what lovely Disney marketing team wanted or JJ said. I don't see the point of building characters up to something they are not. No one likes to be mislead. I also expected non cliche stereotyping role.

Second, I'm not a he.

Third, I have no interest in tearing anything down. I expressed an opinion. Just cause some of you don't like it doesn't mean I'm hear to rain on your parade. I hardly post anything. I've lost interest in this movie and I already moved on. I'm not one of those fans that like to harp on things that disappoint them. Life to too short for this ****.
