Action-Adventure John Wick: Chapter 4

Action movies and adventure films.
If John Wick's goal was freedom, why kill that dude in the second movie?

Looking forward to it. :D

The first 3 movies have dropped on HBOMax. Rewatching the first and it’s still the best one for me. I love the simplicity of it.

I know it’s always about world building and making it bigger for the sequels but they’ve gotten too over the top and stylized for my tastes.

I feel like all 3 films are equally consistent in quality. I know the world building has taken center stage, but the fights, and cinematography have just gotten progressively more groundbreaking for me. It's rare for a movie this day and age to be worth the price admission on fight scenes alone. Thankfully, these films have more than that going for them as well. I love the neo-noir neon lit world these movies inhabit. It's just a badass setting! Plus the cast in all the movies have been fantastic.

Also, before anybody asks, i have seen The Raid films and I loved them. I just enjoy John Wick more though.

I have a car like Wick's in my garage in Forza Horizon 4 (a 1969 Mach 1) and one of the skins you can get for it emulates the color and stripes of his car so I have his car in my fleet.

I've loved all the John Wicks myself as well. :)

I know I’m in the minority but some of the fights feel repetitive after awhile.

I find this is true of most action films. :( Sometimes a good story just gets drowned out because of it.

Same. That fight in 3 were JW gets out through what feels like 30 glass paynes was ridiculous. It was like something out of a comedy.

I love Keanu's gamesmanship for doing these but the first is definitely still the best for me.
