"John Wick: Chapter 4 has the most action of any of the John Wick films, which is saying a lot," Reeves told Total Film in the latest issue of the magazine. "And it's more by a good margin. It's a big show."

Reeves went on to say that Chapter 4 presented "the hardest physical role of his career" and that it required some extensive training on his part. He explained that he had to hone a few of the skills in his "toolbox," especially since the movie is reintroducing "car-fu" to the series.

"John Wick: Chapter 4 was the hardest physical role I've ever had in my career so far. They really trained me up to be able to have what we call the toolbox," he said. "We took the car-driving to the next level... There's 180s, forward-into-reverse 180s, reverse into-forward 270s, drifting… So it was really fun to get a chance to learn those skills, and to play."

John Wick 4 also adds martial arts superstar Donnie Yen to the mix, playing Caine, an old buddy of Wick's who shares the same enemies. He is bringing his "master-level fighting abilities" to the sequel, further enhancing the stunts and action sequences this time around.

"He is not an actor that you have to train for each specific fight. He is a great actor who is also a trained fighter. His ability to enhance the choreography through his own creativity is world-class," stunt coordinator Scott Rogers said of Yen's performance, noting that it turned into "something very special" when paired up with Reeves.

Geez. Better pee before you take your seat. :(

Yeah gonna wait for home release. That’s too long to sit as the fights get repetitive after awhile

Have all the films been long? 2 hours 49 mins is LotR length lol.

It's part of the reason I haven't gone to the theater in a while. At home I can read or surf through the overly long fights.

I think so long as a movie is good, then runtime doesn't matter.

This is 100% true but at nearly 3 hours for what is mainly an action flick its going to have to be good and interesting for that run time otherwise you can see what the main complaint is going to be.

Too many movies of this length suffer at being too long because they have too much filler that adds nothing to the film and just bloat it out, pacing becomes a major issue. Lets hope Mr Wick can avoid this problem.

Crazy, these films dont have the type story's to justify such a long runtime.

If Chapter 4 is the last one then I can see the runtime being justified.
