The Dark Knight Joker Intro Description...no Bs

I'll be honest, though, Joker sounds hilarious. A bus creaming one his men, making the manager piss himself...

what do you expect from bunch of criminal sociopaths? a p.h.d dialect? Joker is not a doctor, he's a psychopath, and his gang well there dumb, and the bank manager is a dirty habitual working for the mob.
I'm mostly referring to the manager's lines.

Since when did criminals believe in things, other than breaking the law for their own self gain (which is exactly what The Joker is doing in this scene)?

It's the bank scene. Thats the interior of the Old Post Office in Chicago, the suit is the same, plus this picture debuted this summer weeks before the summer Chicago shooting started, plus the lighting is "daylight", even though there its created by the giant fresnel lamps outside the post office

oh so you`ve been to the old post office there to know the interior?...I`m not tryin to sound lyk i have an attitude I`m being quite serious

And the large IMAX camera they're using is a good indication too.

Was there any music? What was the tone? Is this the first six minutes? if so, how come no mention of a batsymbol coming up as the opening credits. Really bad writing- absolutely terrible description. My bet is that this footage is a hell of alot cooler on screen. Also, It is with select prints? AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it worth fighting? I have my tab on the link but I haven't read it and I just....ah, damn....this is tough. This is seriously tough. Ok just tell me, is it good?

Read it, for goodness sake. To see the footage with your own eyes is much better than reading, but I was okay with reading it.

See, this is where I disagree. Many already die in the scene so the manager's death was not absolutely necessary.

He makes the manager think he's going to blow him to bits, but only green smoke comes out of the grenade. That scene confirms to me that we will be seeing THE Joker as opposed to an only murdering-without-sense of humor Zsasz with makeup. That part makes me all the more excited.

Wow, im not gonna lie, I really didnt think the prologue was gonna happen! Ive never been so happy to be wrong! Sweet!!!!!!!! So is the Batman pic new or not?

Since the mafia. :o

Wouldn't the real Joker's joke be that the gas makes the manager THINK he is safe and then dies right after?

Well its not a frame from BB... but it could have been taken when that scene was being shot

Does anyone who has a problem with the dialogue take into consideration that whoever wrote this article had to watch it and then obviously had a lot of time in between maybe such as going home to report this or wherever and the lines he`s given are simplified basic statements from the characters?...Becuz itd be pretty amazing if he memorized ALLLLL the lines along with EVERYTHING he saw so precise. Also only seeing the clip once

Ever since the manager saw The Godfather.

sorry 2 double post, thats ez he as a press member was probally able to write down notes during the thing not record it but just jot down notes. hence y the dialouges so bad.

It's too much exposition. The gang is standing around telling the audience everything rather than having us figure it out.

I'm thinking it's the joker talking. Probably messing with them, blah blah blah. But it doesn't expose much about anything. None of that sounds true, just rumors, showing their feelings toward him not revealing anything real about the joker himself.

Or its a laughing gas grenade, and as Joker drives away the manager laughs himself to death.

I thought the prologue was supposed to show fragments of the Jokers origin? farewell to that idea :cmad. what is it, he killed all his goons and now he has no friends?

it would be awesome if the bank manager appears later on in the movie in some mob capacity and the joker attacks him with another gas... everyone else in the room would be fine but the bank manager would collapse on the floor dead with a ghastly grin across his face... very "The Laughing Fish."

Well even though the Mafia to us seems like they were just criminals... but they actually had high morals for family names and such... they wacked only if they needed to. Doesn't mean they didn't blow up rival restaurants or hotels... but when it really came down to it, the mafia are not like gangs and Am. History X stuff; ie: Gotham types... or dressed up whackos...

Thats heath in bank scene
dark-knight1x-large.jpg

so is that, and the dude behind him gets hit by the bus.
I'm thinkin' the reason his hair isn't green in any of these shots is we don't see him from behind or in a situation where his hair really shows.

I think that says more about the character than a prologue could.

I'm from Chicago, when I was a kid I've been there, so its recognizable, plus it's not hard to find pictures of the interior. In the Roker video he's talking to Aaron Eckhart and the camera is facing the same direction. Seeing as that it is the interior, that he's in the same costume, that it was one of the first pictures from the film to come out and that its release was from before the location shooting in Chicago again, it is more than logical to assume that they are filming the reveal shot in that picture
