The Dark Knight Joker Intro Description...no Bs

it would be awesome if the bank manager appears later on in the movie in some mob capacity and the joker attacks him with another gas... everyone else in the room would be fine but the bank manager would collapse on the floor dead with a ghastly grin across his face... very "The Laughing Fish."

or that the grenade would really go off this time...BOOM!

or joker would throw a gernade
Manager: I'm not falling for that again
Joker: oh you saw through it what doesn't kill you...
The gernade blows up and the managers more crispy then KFC.

It's a damn shame. I was really looking forward to that "It's rude to stare" line.

Does anyone who has a problem with the dialogue take into consideration that whoever wrote this article had to watch it and then obviously had a lot of time in between maybe such as going home to report this or wherever and the lines he`s given are simplified basic statements from the characters?...Becuz itd be pretty amazing if he memorized ALLLLL the lines along with EVERYTHING he saw so precise. Also only seeing the clip once
If he's a journalist, I'd assume they have a notebook or something to remember.

I assume he has 8 or so other friends driving the school buses. Not for long at his rate though!

Hey the jokers about to have a lot more friends considering he`s holding all the gangs money for ransom...and i use the term `friends` loosley ofcourse but he wants their help to get batman lol

"What do you believe in?" The bank manager's line makes sense. Criminals, especially organized criminals, that are the focal point of the graphic novels. Maroni, Falcone, etc. These guys are members of organized crime; there's a symbiosis. "I scratch your back, you scratch mine." Criminals, believe it or not, do believe in things. Go watch American Gangster. There is a reason why these criminals do what they do. Hence the label, "ORGANIZED CRIME." In The Dark Knight, The Joker debuts, and these members of organized crime have no idea what he stands for. How can anyone know what he stands for? He is one disturbed fella.

The dialogue works fine for me. Bottom line, it'll come down to how good the actor is who plays the Bank Manager.

I thought the prologue was supposed to show fragments of the Jokers origin? farewell to that idea :cmad. what is it, he killed all his goons and now he has no friends?

Maybe he gets more goons, and isn't he suppose to form an alliance with the mob to take down batman anyways? so obviously he starts recruiting, one can only imply with all the viral marketing stuff of joining his gang and all. I would of preffer a trailer description as for the trailer will be more marketable to the general audience, right now the loyal hardcore fans are feeling the dark knight hype, the general audience will feel the hype once the official trailer goes mainstream.

Fitchner... I think he's a great actor... love him in prison break

Oh come on the guy didn't spend the whole time jotting down notes for us, he watched it and it's completely out of his memory!!!

Dialogue really didn't sound that good, in my opinion.

Oh well. I'll see it for myself before I judge.

Yeah, I get the impression the author of this piece is summarizing. The misspellings, admissions that he's doing this from memory, and also some of the clumsier lines and transitions make me wish someone else had been the first to see this...

C minus. See me after class about making this up, young man

Its Rude To Stare Better Be In The 'logue

it might be and he didnt jot it down,

i think it will be the manager jaw dropped in a paniced state, its rude to stare then pop a gernade in his mouth.

But his suit doesnt...he`s wearing the suit he`s in during the bank robery and at the party with rachel he has the purple suit. but even so that still doesnt mean its the bank!!! I really dont lyk how everyone assumed thats from the bank. When it all comes down to it theres really no evidence to confirm which scene thats in.

I think you're confused about which pic i'm talking about.
=
party with Rachel

=
Bank Robbery

Jesus christ people give the guy some more credit! He got lucky enough to see the clip in advanced and posted it as best as he could on the internet so spoiler hungry *I hate being cencored* heads like us can get a taste of whats goin on...I dont see anyone of us out there doing something about it so we can get more info

I think the new wizard pic if from Bruce's penthouse, theres no way thats from the bank, completely different outfit.

the new pic posted on the first page isn't from the bank robbery, it's from the party with Rachel later on in the movie. The background matches the leaked pics from a few months ago.

oh $hit...ya know what I read ur original post wrong and i thought u said "it is from the bank robbery" my bad

"Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger."

A nod to Joker's origin?

I'm gonna go to sleep right now just to pass the time until the viral site counter hits 0

We're not getting paid for it.

very insightful! I could see hints like this throughout the movie without ever adressing it.

Since when did criminals believe in things, other than breaking the law for their own self gain (which is exactly what The Joker is doing in this scene)?

They usually don't. It's a romantic notion that's idealised in movies and tv. Criminal loyalty and honour ect only extends to the limits of what a person can get away with.
