Joker's OTF Switchblade

Would anyone be interested in a resin or plastic version of this knife? The benefits: 100% legal anywhere in the world, no age restrictions, great for cosplay since it won't actually cut anything.

. . . lemme know . . .

THIS. PLEASE.

Since I live in Canada it's damn near impossible to get that knife anyway without traveling to the US to get it, and if I did own it I wouldn't want to have to grind it down to make it convention-safe :/

Would the resin/plastic version be retractable? It doesn't necessarily need to be spring loaded or anything, I just wouldn't want it to be always out B: That's fine if it can't be, though. If you made it that would be fabulous :3

The Extractor 1600 is out of stock now, but we are expecting some more on Wednesday. I hope you enjoy your new knives!

I'm going to see the new Batman tonight at the Imax!

Anyone know if these blades would be legal in Canada? I'd like to get one but am unsure.

I found some stuff about it through google searches but it confuses me a little.

As of right now the main restrictions on the types of knives in Canada are listed in Section III of Bill C68

"prohibited weapon" means

(a) a knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife

This bans switchblades and knives that you can flip open ie. swinging/snapping the knife in a circular motion.

Note one handed opening via holes in the blade, disks, studs etc., are not illegal.

Does this mean that switchblades are illegal but OTF switchblades are legal?

they probably are illegal but the person shipping them knows that and wont label the package to make people think its a knife. i order illegal blades all the time and havent had a problem.

I guess if there was a problem I could always just say that my dad bought it. He's a fireman so the law is bypassed. according to my source. I dunno how credible it is but w/e.

At bladeplay.com we will ship anywhere. The buyer assumes all legal responsibility. I would say 95% of the packages to Canada do not have any problems.

I saw the movie last night and realized the Joker also uses another OTF switchblade. I believe it is either the Microtech Ultratech or Halo 3, but it is very hard to tell (I better go see it again!). We carry these on bladehq.com. He uses it in the pool hall at the beginning when he is telling the story about his dad. These truly are great knives, but will run you about $300. We have one that is pretty close but I'm not positive it is the same one. You can see it: HERE

I attempted to buy a few of these knifes but the site says it is sold out. In the description it says you can preorder from the new shipment but there is no option to do so!

The site says they should get more in on Monday but it doesn't really reference the date as to which monday, the one that has just passed or Monday the 28th.

Issues issues!!

Here's the situation. On Tuesday, they got in a new shipment, without that "Pre-Order" stipulation... They sold out in a matter of hours...

So they then put up that "Pre-Order" thing for another batch of knives they are getting on monday, and you guessed it, that batch sold out as well...

So thats why you are having a problem. 2 entire batches have sold out. These knifes are big buisness...

These OTF's must be some top notch knives to cost that much money.

no, that site is trying to rip you the hell off. i bought one a supermarket for 5 bucks. the one joker uses is really crappy in the otf selection.you have to manually retract, its not sharp, the blade doesnt always lock in place and when it is its wobbly. the ones like microtech are expensive. they come out some other way, out the front yes, but the inside is different. jokers knife , you have to manually retract. the other ones you just flip the switch and ta-dah it gone. and the one i have really is the exact jokers knife, not almost, exactly, close like other ones posted here.

will post pics later for proof.

Believe me the knife i posted are the correct ones :brucebat:

well basically this is the exact same one i have, and they are the ones joker uses. i don't know how much this guy got it for but i got mine for 5 bucks at an Asian supermarket. so if someone post a link and it doesn't look exactly like this one it ain't the right one or if they post a link and it cost around 300, your basically getting ripped off. sure you could buy the other ones he has that in real life do cost $300, but why? he doesn't even use them, we only see this one above. the only other knife i think he had that is cheap is a normal black stiletto.

I could be wrong but I think the knife that Joker uses to treaten Gamble is a
Microtech Troodon SE MT120-10.

I saw this and it looks alot like it to me. What do you all think? Does anyone have a good pick of the knife I'm talking about?

in every website they list it as something different. microtechs are like 300 hundred so i dont think jokers is a microtech. seriously, i mean i got mine for $5 dollars, you shouldnt spend more than 20 on it.
the cheapest online ive been able to find is here for 15
http://www.extremely-sharp.com/es/catalog/10063.html
and thats the exact same one joker uses. just buy it, dont pay attention to all that "you have to be 21 years old and a member of the military, police, firemen, or civil employee to purchase automatic knives". theyre not gonna do a background check on you to see if you are. im 16 and i bought one from there too. i just asked my parents and they had no problem getting it for me.

This is the Extractor 1600 and can be found HERE

This one seems to be most like the knife in question, the main difference between this and the others is it has a safety, the blade is plain and the handle is different. In my opinion, this one isn't the greatest quality, but maybe you guys just want the one that is featured in the movie! Another problem with this is you have to point the blade down when firing for it to lock.

Will these be coming back into stock anytime soon?
