We do know there was quite a substantial chunk cut out of the final film though to accommodate the limited IMAX reels. Almost certainly not as much as going from draft 1 to final draft, but still a lot. I'd say before it had been cut down it was over 3 hours.
I honestly have no idea if a substantial chunk was cut out. But even if it did , not everything that is shot belong to a movie. This is a very common practice in cinema.
The only thing i read regarding this was that Nolan didn't want a movie much bigger than the other two.
