I was surprised to see a Jorah Mormont thread didn't exist yet. Well here he is; Iain Glen in all his glory, as Ser Jorah Mormont!

Jorah started the series by Daenerys' side, fighting her enemies, guiding her, and proving himself a capable warrior, despite being friendzoned by Danerys the whole time. But he has taken a turn for the worse in recent seasons... what is to become of Ser Jorah?

I was hit hard when Jorah was banished, and again when he contracted Greyscale. He would have been great by Dany's side when she stormed into Westeros, and I think he would have had some great interactions with the characters there (Jon Snow met his dad, and now Lyanna Mormont serves Jon). Fortunately, he may find a cure for his Greyscale - but I have a theory he will use the Greyscale to his advantage by revisiting Old Valyria and the Stone Men and perhaps find Valyrian Steel needed to fight the White Walkers.

That's an interesting theory, Jorah finding Valyrian steel in the ruins.

I've had that theory too - Jorah Jones and the Royal Armory of Old Valyria!

I may as well re-post this here where it belongs:

I was pondering Jorah's Quest for a cure to greyscale disease a little more, and while I think the Citadel at Oldetown might have some answers, maybe even the same maesters who worked on little Shireen, the fact is that he's in Essos right now so I think maybe his best shot is to head back to Qarth and look up old Quaithe! Remember this chick from Season 2:

Too bad he didn't have those tattoos before he sailed through Valyria himself! But she is a very mysterious character and I wouldn't mind seeing her again. What's under her mask? Greyscale perhaps?

I think I heard/saw something about some Valyrian steel being in the ruins, but nobody could get it cause of the Stone Men. But once Jorah got Greyscale I wondered if Jorah could waltz right in there and take it. Probably not that easy, but he's practically the only person who would be able to get in there unharmed, I would think.

Man, I wish Shireen was still alive, I'd like to have seen Greysacle-Jorah and Shireen together.

I think there is a very strong possibility that Tyrion gets blamed for everything wrong in Mereen and banished (perhaps unfairly but Dany doesn't listen when she's mad) and that he may pair up with Jorah again somehow... but then again there's really not a whole lot of time left for any more side adventures is there?

The greyscale is too big of a Chekhov's Gun to not factor in again. I love the idea of Jorah going back to Valyria for its steel but I've thought for a while that there could be a mass epidemic of greyscale somewhere. But I have no clue how that could factor in with the other big pieces of the plot.

Good catch. I love these breadcrumbs they leave us to follow. I'm not too sure that those marks would be a cure but it might be something that keeps the stone men from touching him. Hopefully we find out.

What if Jorah travels to Old Valyria and finds the Lannisters' Valyrian sword, Brightroar?

The show has done a good job of introducing and then forgetting all about Quaithe. I guess they could reintroduce her to cure Ser Jorah, and that would pay off that little scene, but what a waste of Quaithe
