Deadpool 2 Josh Brolin is Cable

So what, the gun is magnetic?
Moves just like that?
Cable is who uses his power to bring back gun to his metal shoulder.

PS
6'2 isn't ridiculously tall if you're average man.
Maybe you come from Indonesia.

Thing is Cable is freaking tall and huge in the comics. He has always been drawn like that. Like its distracting to see Deadpool taller than Cable. Like after the complaints about Juggernaut and Colossus not being big enough in the previous X-Men films.. They have done the same thing here.

You're never gonna get an accurate representation of a character like cable, its unrealistic to expect that.

He looked good.

Yes they can with a little help from CGI. And after seeing Colossus, Juggernaut, Thanos and those characters who have been portrayed as really big in height/mass, nothing is impossible anymore.

While size is essential to Colossus or Juggernaut, I don't think it is for Cable. Jugs and Piotr are brick house characters in the vein of Hulk or the Thing, so they need to have that size. Cable was always just huge because Liefeld exaggerates crap.

Seriously. Liefeld lives in a world where every man is 8'2" and has has biceps the size of boulders.

He's taken to poking fun at himself as of late for it though.

Yeah. And I loved how Deadpool made that joke about him not being able to draw feet.

Heh. I remember near the end of the New Mutants run and going into X-Force when Warpath joined the team and was suddenly a hulk sized guy. Fabian Nicieza wrote the size change into the story via a character profile (if memory serves) to make sense of it lol.

Cable shouldn't use his powers anyways. It's only supposed to be used to keep his virus incheck

That’s not true. Cable does use his TK in the books and isn’t prevented from doing so bc of the TO virus. All that does is limit his power so he doesn’t access his full omega potential. It’s a check to keep him from being overpowered

Grant Morrison and Mark Millar apparently have said his art style is genius due to the abstract nature of it, so.....whatever.

Abstract or not, Rob is never living this down.

I hope there's a post credits scene in Deadpool 3 where they use CGI to "Liefeldize" all the characters. You'll be able to clearly see every single one of Deadpool's muscles while he's in costume; Cable will be 10 feet tall, loaded with pouches and have a chest that's as wide as the front of a semi; and Domino will have HHH-sized breasts and a waist so thin you could fit a snap bracelet around it.

Liefield gets alot of sh-t but X-Force was near the very start of his career in his early 20s. His art isnt for everyone but he's improved in the near 3 decades since then. He deserves respect for the influence he's had which is still felt today. From all accounts, he seems like a relatively nice guy with a sense of humor despite being made out to be an industry joke by so many

Plus its was the late 80's/early 90's everything at that time was about looking like Arnie/Dolph Lundgren

I get all that but at the same time...

Someone had to sign off on that, and that person thought to himself/herself "yep, this is acceptable." What the frak. :|

Thought Brolin was great again as Cable, after killing it as Thanos, the guy is having a great year.

I didn't mind that Cable wasn't this huge, hulking guy. Didn't mind that he was about the same height and size as Deadpool.

Though him in his "future" costume walking towards those guys in the pick up truck, that costume made him look like an actual midget and was quite distracting. There will probably be a deleted scene of him pushing around a shopping cart in the rain and the paparazzi set pics of those also made him look like a midget.

They never even said he had a virus.

In the scene where he's shirtless you can see it going across his chest and him looking gravely at it. A lot of things are hinted at but not spelt out, which I think is a good thing.

Yeah they can go into further detail in an X-Force movie.
