I liked the arc and development Cable had, started out angry and standard vengeful, basic "Terminator" roll but in the end [BLACKOUT]its Deadpool who actually shows him the morally right thing to do and gives him his humanity back.[/BLACKOUT]

Only in Hollywood...a.k.a. land of the munchkins...could 6'2" be considered ridiculously tall.

I really enjoyed Cable in this, Brolin did a good job. Also helped that he was a bit more eye candy compared to Deadpool.

Would love to see him interact with the X-Men.

    Is Cable even a mutant?

At least his feet were proportionate.

I thought Cable was great. Brolin was bad ass yet you could see the pain and desperation in his face.

I loved his tech and his brutal fighting style.

People say he wasnt developed enough... I disagree. He had enough development for this film. The brief flashbacks told us all we needed to know for this particular story. Im sure we'll learn more about him in future films.

Brolin is 2 for 2 So far.

He seems to have some kind of telekinesis.

Actually, I think everything that makes it one of the most popular superhero IPs also makes it impossible to integrate into the MCU, and I think Feige and company know that.

Rather than try and incorporate it, they can just keep it going as a separate line, and that gives them the freedom to play with characters that just wouldn't fit into a more structured cinematic universe.

Didn't see any telekinesis. His gun is magnetic and he used this holographic shield fairly often.

So what, the gun is magnetic?
    Moves just like that?
Cable is who uses his power to bring back gun to his metal shoulder.

    PS
6'2 isn't ridiculously tall if you're average man.
    Maybe you come from Indonesia.

There was no evidence what Cable was doing in the film was any sort of mutant powers and anything other than his future tech.

If Cable didn't use his power, gun would still lay on the floor.

Were those his powers or was that his tech?

His tech was time travel swatch, shield, fixing guns and visualization of past events.

His powers are telekinetic which he inherited from Madeline Pryor, but he's constantly using it to keep his TO in check, the organic virus he's infected with.

If he's telekinetic, why only use that to grab a gun? The movie made it seem like it was his gun or arm doing that.

Rhett and Paul stated somewhere they were gonna have him use his powers in the film originally, but refrained from doing so in order to not overstuff the film. Need to find the source again though. Retrieving his gun is just some future tech like how Cap magnetically retrieves his shield.

And why not use that power to [BLACKOUT]grab the pistol (the one with one bullet) instead of diving for it?[/BLACKOUT]

He's referring to this from Age of Ultron.

So in other words, there's basically nothing in the film to indicate that Cable is a mutant or has telekinetic powers.

If you have telekinesis you don't reserve it for just grabbing a rifle.

Totally didn't remember that scene, heh. Thought he meant Cap's usual "throw it, bounce it off various stuff/people and catch it" routine was achieved magnetically.

I really loved the relishment of the 80s with Brolin’s cable. Everything from the look to the sound effects. Just perfect

Cable shouldn't use his powers anyways. It's only supposed to be used to keep his virus incheck
