Deadpool 2 Josh Brolin is Cable

Wow, that actually is kind of perfect. I love the choice. And bring in the meta jokes from Wade...
I already got like six or so percolating...My favorite involves the cereal Lucky Charms.

Brolin's got great comedic chops too as seen from his role as Agent K in MIB3. He's got the range, charisma and toughness to be Cable and bounce off Ryan and Zazie. That's a helluva lead trio right there.

I guess since Brolin will be buried behind CGI and voice modulation, he can take a role like this without any conflict for viewers. Can't wait for the Avengers and Thanos jokes.

Yeah you explained that well. That makes complete sense. Congrats for the great point. :whatever:

Well how does him being cast as Cable in one movie mean that his role as Thanos isn't a huge role in Avengers? Makes no sense. Like someone said in reply to your statement, what does one have to do with the other?

FANTASTIC CASTING! Brolin is a great surprise for this part.

Anyone who thinks Thanos role could be small for the next Avengers movies, those movies have been filming for a few months now. There is a good chance Brolin is done is work for those movies and now he can focus on Deadpool 2 for the summer.

If Brolin was a couple inches taller I think he'd been perfect for Cable though.

Called it! This was a little over a year ago.

Still not sure how they'll manage the height and size difference with Brolin being 5'8 and Ryan being 6'2. But I dig it.

Yes, because Tom Cruise is shown to be he actual height in his movies.

Oh, he'll look tall in this film. No doubt. The trick of the camera will take care of that.

He's apparently 5'10". I remember writing him off because he was both shorter than Ryan and already had an ongoing cbm role.

champagne pop to you, good sir.

Wow, awesome choice, just never expected him to be in the running when he is Thanos, great news.

Deadpool starts shooting soon and Infinity Wars is in the middle of a long shoot. He cant be in two places at once since one films in Canada and the other in Georgia.

Not only that, but a comic book film that is filming at the same time.

Excellent casting. This is shaping up to be a great cast. X-force has the potential to be a great franchise.

It's a great casting for sure. But man, how strange it's gonna be to compare Thanos to Cable in the coming years.

I'll honestly never get the "but this actor is already playing this chatacater!" comments.

They're actors. They play different roles. It's like saying he can't play any other historical figure because he played W.

Ok? And like someone said he's already been doing mocap and recording for Avengers since like September. He's the main villain of infinity war. He had a huge role, all the sudden now because he's cast as cable and has to film that soon it means his role in avengers isn't huge anymore? Give me a break man come on.

His role in Avengers is huge, his role in deadpool for all we know can be minimal or limited as just an intro to his character. Bottom line is he's been filming Avengers for months now and is continuing to do so, and will film Deadpool as well. But his role as Thanos for IW will be a huge role, bet on that

Unless he was set to play another historical figure at the same time in two sets of ongoing series of films, not sure if W. is the best comparison there. W. was at least a one-off thing.
