The Amazing Spider-Man Josh Hutcherson Leak

But then again you wanted Glover so who cares what you think. :oldrazz:

And this guy for Batman

Not sure what to think of this. He doesn't strike me as the geeky type you don't expect to be a superhero.

It's weird how SHH is jumping on the Hutcherson-Train. Like SHH too knew all the time, that Josh made it.

This is so cool! Hutcherson looks like the Spidey from the 60s

But I wonder how the bigots at **************.com will react?

It's funny seeing all the people on internet forums up in arms saying it's a bad decision.

Errr... he auditioned... and impressed Webb and the execs more than the other candidates which probably included fan favourites such as Logan Lerman... that's all that matters.

I have nothing against him or for him, since I don't remember everything I've seen him in, but dude's face annoys me now.

Pretty meh casting choice. Kid better get in shape, I don't want no, "Chubby-Man: The High School Saga.":cmad:

I don't mind the choice.I wanted Logan but I'm willing to give Josh a shot.

lol of course he will. Whenever anyone gets a gig in a superhero film they have to get in shape.

I'm sure glad Lerman didnt get it. But I might be wishing he had.

Giving this a "C".

Not the worst, not even close to the best.

Let's see how the rest of the cast rounds out. I just don't like this kid very much. I am a fan of Lerman, I think he's a great young actor (see 3:10 to Yuma) and that he has the charisma to handle this project. This kid, just--rubs me the wrong way. He looks like a gnome and is just very bland.

This is our Peter Parker for the next 10 years, and it's not a decision that I'm exactly elated with.

Not sure I can trust this just yet. We went through the same thing with Jamie Bell, and we all know how that turned out...

I've never seen Hutcherson in anything, so I can't comment on his acting abilities. But physically I could see him as Peter Parker.

I'm sure he'll hit the gym and bulk up a bit like most actors who play superheros do.

truth is josh went up against a sea of young actors and won out, so that must count for something

to be honest the bit that really got me excited with the lizard news. with the lizard as the main villian I would care if zac efron was peter parker

I dont have anything against the guy its just that the news to me is very meh. But obviously those involved in the project know who they're looking for and if he's right for them then I need to wait it out and see how it turns out.

But one thing though, I havent been around these boards for a while and it seems I've missed some important rumors that the Lizard is infact going to be the villain. This is probably the first good thing about this reboot that i've heard so far!!

Lizard will get fanboys in the seats. I'll know I'll be there opening day.... Unless the trailer is s****y as hell.

Lol, the trivia on his IMDB page says his favorite superhero is Batman.

What's wrong with him is that he looks and sounds too much like a macho idiot, as seen in this video:

Spidey's voice can NOT be that low. It needs to have a "whiney" quality to it that irritates the hell out of his villains whenever he's cracking wise during fights. In regard to his appearance, sure, Peter was square-headed in the early comics, but Hutcherson just looks ridiculous and that goofy-looking smile doesn't help his case either.

He looks like a bully, not a nerd. Maybe he should try out for Flash.

I beg to differ. The best Spider-Man voice actors like Chris Barnes, Josh Keaton, and Rino Romano never sounded "whiney".

Oh please. Tobey Maguire pulled loads of goofy smiles in all three Spider-Man movies. It's a Peter Parker trait.

I think he looks alright there. I'm starting to warm to him a bit.

I have no worries if the casting execs had this on the priority list

"Find an actor more like comic Spider-Man and less like Tobey Maguire". haha!

Well lets take a look (Random posters):

"spiderman just died.... "

"Spider-Man... is dead to me......"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

"This movie cannot continue its progress, not under Sony."

Yeah they're pretty calm about it over there :hehe:
