I was watching both X-Men and X2's deleted scenes and I cant help but feel sorry for the actress who playes Jubilee. They keep giving here these amazing scenes and they keep leaving them on the cutting room floor! I love the X1 deleted scene where Storm asks a question and Jubilee (in her classic yellow jacket) answers. Then in X2 there is a deleted scene from the museum sequence where Jubilee runs off and is looking at another exhibition and all of a sudden she starts to static.

Why must they keep doing this?

My fave Jubilee deleted scene was from X1 too. I kinda didn't like the X2 one. It was cool up until they showed her powers. I don't like them portraying Jubilee with electric powers (or whatever it was):o I'm all for the fireworks baby:cool:

Ack!..I'm tired of people blaming Singer for every, single, possible, part of these movies... :p Some of them aren't even necessarily BAD things...

I understand WHY those scenes were cut,...on the other hand I'm very happy that we at least all got a chance to see them.. :( :D

The X2 one was horrible, especially the powers. It added nothing, it was literally there just to show Jubilee. If they're gonna do that, atleast have her DO something! I'm not sure that I've seen the X1 one...

I got a little scene I typed up with Jubilee, Kitty and Rogue encountering Gambit over on the X3 forum...something of that length would be enough for me

you guys are forgetting that in the cartoons i think they did an episode on her i think it was how she learned she ad powers when she interacted with household appliances and they would static. - it is a bummer though for them not to put jubilee it the movie it was like 1 more minute of running time is that so much?

Jubilee should only ever be a cameo, yeah she's cool for fanboys to see but as a character she's just not that interesting.Plus she had it better than kitty-who really was screwed in x-2,one measely scene, the poor actress who played her was originally suppoesed to have like three or four scenes.

Yeah it was a shame, the phasing looked really awesome. LSD said we were getting more Kitty this time but with all these new characters who knows...

As for Jubilee not being interesting, a spunky orphaned runaway who lived in a mall says stuff like "totally" has virtually no respect for authority and can blow things to high heaven aswell as blind and do a whole host of other things with firework like powers is pretty entertaining to me...:D

When did LSD say we were getting more kitty,I hope not at least not more than just another cameo-she's been done x-1 and x-2.There are better characters that can be cameos. This also applies to jubes.

It was an interview some months back now, I'm sure it was on Hype! since it's the only place I visit to check up on news...didn't post back then and I don't even remember how I came across the site! Funny how sites like this can become second nature visit but you forget how you found them in the first place.

EDIT: Just trailed thru the old news and found it it didn't say there would be more Kitty afterall, just that she was signed - it was more than a few months ago though it was DECEMBER 2003!! I can't believe it, it's so fresh in my memory!! It's damn scary how fast time goes by:

Are any of the actors signed on like Anna?

Some of our younger cast are. Shawn [Ashmore, aka. Iceman]...Anna [Paquin] is not. What we did was made everybody two-picture deals, so anybody who was in the first two are not but Shawn is and Colossus and Kitty Pride...

Well, the source of her power needs to be drawn from somewhere...I think the initial static/electricity might have to be necessary in order for the "fireworks" to become generated, which I would imagine, would be the fullest degree of how her powers work...

    Powers and Abilities:
project pyrotechnics as energy plasmoids that release blinding light and concussive impact

    Hmmm? :oo :oo

you must not understand rogues role in the movies. if ur not moved by rogue in x1, and feel her frustration in x2, then you havent paid enough attention to what her character brings...i think she is very entertaing, she just has little screen time compared to others. not that her character is boring...

Exactly rogue's character is supoosed to evolve through the films,to give us a insight of how they go from normal teens to x-men.Plus I like her character, but she needs more screen time and be able to take care of her self in x-3.

No, I understand her role in the movies but being a big fan of her comic counterpart, when you compare the two, movie Rogue is less interesting. And when I say this I'm talking about her PERSONALITY. Maybe they thought the way she is in the comics wouldn't work, but I like the loud mouth southern belle Rogue ten times as much as the depressed runaway we have in the films.
I don't know, she just does nothing for me, especially in X2. She was just.....there:o Of course this is just my opinion.

Then watch x-2 again cause rogue did do things-save the kids,go back to save wolvy, stop pyro and save the others with the x-jet.She was definitly improved in x-2,it's just that her character got screwed with screen time and never got to really shine, hopefully in x-3 we'll she get some of the glory-instead of wolvy and storm hogging it all.

It could've been worse - in X2 comment track Singer mentions that in the assault on the mansion they planned Jubilee to be shot with a taser and absorb the electricity, then shoot it back.

Now everybody together: Jubilee is not Bishop!

How could he be so un-loyal to the source material? Is it his ever-present fear of mutants with "too similar" powers? ie Cyclops and Gambit supposedly..

But that would just make Jubilee a second rate storm anyhow...

    Very strange!

I must admit, whilst I did like the deleted scenes of Jubilee, neither of them were integral to the story. Neither of them added anything. Also, in X2, I wasn't overly impressed with how her powers were depicted. It just wasn't very jubilee.

Would have prefered a scene with her using the full extent of her powers in the mansion during the attack. I think it would have been particularly effective amongst the darkness.

Well, hey, I can't believe I was the first one to make a joke about that.
