Ok, I just finished watching the Ratner, Penn, and Kinberg commentary on the movie and the deleted scenes and I have to say, they should've included about 6 of the 10 scenes and used 2 of the 3 alternate endings. The ending where Rogue doesn't take the cure and where Beast stays at the school to teach made much more sense and even both writers said it did in the commentary.

Also, a HUGE explanation of the hidden ending and the guy in the coma is finally revealed. Though there isn't an extended shot of that scene, they did have more footage which was supposed to show the guys name so you could figure out what happens. The name was supposed to have said P. Xavier. Penn and Kinberg said that he is Xavier's twin brother who was still born (they make mention of Cassandra Nova and just say they made her a guy instead) and was kept alive for whatever reasons. So if they make an X4, we can still have an Xavier, but he can now walk, dunno about his powers though.

Xavier walking is like...rain without water :( they would have to make him get in accident again to lose his legs, thus becoming the most unlucky guy in the world ever. :p

That's what happens in the comics, too. Prof. X dies and the Shiars transplant his brain into a cloned body. He's able to walk again until Juggernaut crushes him with a tank. Then he becomes chair-bound again.

Evil twin brother? oh jeez.
yeah, please, no Professor anymore. Neither Erik too. They were some of the best characters of the trilogy, but i think their time has passed...

actualy, i wish they would never release that post credits scene. It incredibly cheeses the entire movie.

^^ Then i'll pretend I never saw it... :O

... oh wait...I did :(

... from now on... I shall never watch that scene again even though Dr. Moira is hot...Never.

well thats..interesting. I guess that mean if there is an x4, evil xavier will be there. I think people are gonna start to wonder if an x-man dies, do they come back as an evil person? lol

Ironic^

but wouldn't that be a rehash of what happened to Jean? I don't like the idea of Xavier coming back evil...redundant...dun dun dun... lol

well they never said anything about an "evil" Xavier. They just talked about him having a twin sister in the comics to make it relevant. I don't think they implied he would be evil in any way.

Interesting that solved my problems on writing the script of X4 with trying to explain how to bring Xavier back

Their excuse for not showing Jean rising from Alkali Lake is that it would be too hokey and needed to be grounded in reality, but they think that Xavier transplanting his mind into the body of his secret still-born twin brother isn't? Sometimes their logic, or a lack thereof, is completely maddening. :cmad:

That and what they said and laughed about...was one of the things that royally pissed me off. :cmad:

jesus christ, please avoid twin-Charles at any cost!!!!! dont you guys see? do you really need to watch Batman and Robin again to remember what happens when you push it too far? God, we CAN live without Xavier...

it's sad... cycing fans are gonna wonder bout evil twin brothers... since there was a hint of a third sumners by M.Sinister

This explanation seems a bit silly to me. They have to make up or change characters so much when the X-Men universe is so huge.

The best way of avoiding this is to just you know, [BLACKOUT]NOT kill all the characters off[/BLACKOUT]. :cmad:

His stillborn twin. WTF? If he was stillborn, that means he died before he was born (or as he was being delivered) which would make him an infant not a full grown adult. Morons. Jeez every time those two open their mouths they say something even more idiotic than their last comment. :whatever:

Wow! An evil twin brother! What wonderful imagination. Yay :whatever:

They deserve to pat themselves on the back for this one. Cause the fans aren't gonna do it

BTW, Stillborn means dead upon birth. Keeping a corpse in bed for 50 years becomes messy and smelly

Then again, if it's really Xavier's brother, then they lied about the man having no family

Yes, Hugh'sMrs you're right. Geniuses they are. would you like to pat them on the back? Or better yet. How about a good whack to their heads with a hat ala Skipper beating Gilligan? :D

Is this what the Prof. X of X-men will do - kept his dead brother alive so that he can live forever in case of emergency! geez, Prof. X just got eviler and eviler with a flawed sense of morality

^^^ They make it sound like Xavier's dead brother was kept in a bed as a convenient host for a body snatcher...

i actually like the idea... but as i said above... it will cause problems!

The Evil Twin is a staple of soap operas. Bad soap operas.

Even if the corpse was kept for 50+ years (gross btw) it would still be an infant not an adult or technically a pile of bones after that long. Apparently Kinberg and Penn can't differentiate between the concept of a stillborn baby and a braindead adult. That deluded ignorance could account for how they can claim to be the biggest X-Men fans ever and not be embarrassed by what ended up on the screen.

Maybe they watched 'The Island' right before they did the commentary and stole the concept of a host body from that film. :oldrazz:

Charles keeping his dead twin around for 'spare parts' is laughably ghoulish. Even X2 writer Michael Dougherty who has a twisted sense of humor wouldn't have used that idea.

I think this line of thinking goes more with "biggest X-Men fanBOYS" ever, or closer still, the concept of power gamers. Those annoying RPGers that give themselves 54,000 experience points for having an elf kill an Orc and then advanting to level 87 so they can take on an entire kingdom, like all on their own.:woot:
