^The ABC Warrior Robot was classic though.

Now it's time to bring the Dark Judges (or they won't get my hard earned money).
" The sssentence is deathh."

What has happened to this? It was supposed to be being fast tracked?

I know mate - given the track record of trying to get 2000AD comics adapted to the big screen, this is looking like another false dawn.

Finally got around to watching Doomsday last night too - Neil Marshall would surely have to be under consideration for helming duties, wouldnt he?

He would definately be my pick, his 3 movies so far have shown something that all could contribute to a Dredd movie, so he is my number 1 choice to direct for sure.

Marshall directing and Pegg (we need people with stroke who are genuine fans of 2000AD) producing/writing..................

^Indeed, has Pegg ever written anything action orientated though? Would still like to see him take a crack at it though, but Marshall normally writes his own scripts, maybe he could just polish some things up.

I had given up on this movie, and to be honest AG writing the script still doesnt convince me it will happen, but he is a good screen-writer for sure, so if we do get the movie, it should have a good script.

Now if they just announce that Neil Marshall is directing and that Adam Baldwin is playing Dredd, I will be a happy, happy man, and a lot more optimistic.

Same here; there have been so many false dawns in terms of another Dredd movie (or any other 2000AD movie adaption for that matter) that one cant help but be a little guarded for fear of getting the bum's rush when it fails to materialise.

I'm still with the Stephen Baldwin for Dredd shout though. Baldwin for Dredd followed by Jason Statham as Johnny Alpha in a Strontium Dog movie (come to think of it, I could see Statham as either Strontium Dog or Rogue Trooper - which ever movie comes first, I guess)................

Ooops. Damned typo.

I meant Adam, obviously. Can you actually imagine Stephen Baldwin as Dredd? Better yet, imagine Alec Baldwin as Dredd....... :hehe:

^Ha ha, thought either you or me were going crazy there :cwink:

Thankfully no, I cant imagine them in the role!

^It would, but i aint getting my hopes up, when first announced, this movie was meant to be fast tracked for 2010 remember!

It would, the original will always have a place in my heart. I was thinking how about Neil Blomkampf as director?

Neil Blomkampf is a good idea.
I hope this movie happens at some point and I hope Judge Death is featured prominently in it.

"The better the villain, the better the film." Alfred Hitchcock.

Honestly, so what?

We hear about a Judge Dredd reboot every several years. Some time ago there was talk of making several $20 million movies after the Stallone abomination by an indy prod. company and one would even have Judge Death.

unless DC publishes Judge Dredd in Italy, I don't think this is the right section for it..

^Yeah he would be a good choice, just not sure he would do it, I still have my heart on Neil Marshall directing this.
