I know, found on IMBD Brown was born in 1959 and Baldwin was born in 1962 couldnt believe it when I saw it. Clancy looks A LOT older IMO.

That is astonishing, Brown looks 10 years older not 3. But yeah, both would be great for Dredd and both wouldnt have a problem not removing their helmets IMO. So both would be perfect in fact.

Yea that could be cool. Quite a lot to get in one film though I reckon. Unless it the editing they use jumps forward in time, something like that.

Armand Assante was awesome as Rico in the last one.

Personally, I disliked Assante as Rico.

Apart from over-acting with that 'insane acting by the numbers' wild-eyed look all the time, I really took issue with the fact that the character is supposed to be a clone of Dredd; yet they looked nothing alike.

Stallone should have doubled up to play both roles. That way, Dredd's helmet couldve stayed on (satisfying the fans) and Stallones face wouldve been visible (satisfying both Stallone and the studio);

Of course, it wouldve meant changing the story so that Dredd doesnt get framed and stripped of his uniform but, hey, I wouldnt exactly have been in tears to see the cliched plot that they used being thrown out the window.

I would really want to see the first Robot War, with Walter the Wobot and Call-Me-Kenneth. Then they could hint at Judge Death for the sequel. Or the Cursed Earth.

A person's face can weather and age, and change slightly because of lines and wrinkles; but it doesnt change their face to the point that they look completly different.

Hell, even in that photo of young Rico with young Dredd, they look nothing alike.

Judgment day can change people's face.. We all know Edward Furlong grew up to look like Nick Stahl, who'll eventually will look like Christian Bale.

I understand that.

I was talking primarily about the movie in my post; having said that, they were supposed to take inspiration from the comics, and pre-disfigurement, Rico is still supposed to have the same face as Dredd being that they are from the same clone batch.

Yet they cast a totally different guy.
