Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

So... she's a kid who got stuck in the game too.

Sh** I don't need a reason. :o ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I had no idea they'd even completed casting for this, much less started shooting!

Hah I totally forgot the game was capable of changing people. I kept thinking it just brought creatures out but its actually able to do a whole lot more. Its a pretty fun concept. Has there been any children cast at all?

The obvious explanation for Karen Gillan's skimpy outfit makes sense.

‘Jumanji’ sequel adds Rhys Darby & Morgan Turner:

The new Jumanji movie has been filming in Hawaii for about a week now, but the project is still making additions to its star-studded cast. Deadline has revealed that comedian Rhys Darby (What We Do in the Shadows) and Morgan Turner (Mildred Pierce) have joined the cast of the upcoming movie in undisclosed roles.

Turner may be young Gillian.

Well...it's interesting I guess. If it's a sequel though does it mean the game itself being sentient implanted its idea into a video game creator?

Jumanji the video game, ugh. I'm quickly losing interest in this.

I enter this thread for the first time, and I see that a video game is a sequel to a board game.

MMM.. 'K

OMG, they have spit in the face of Jumanji fans everywhere1111!!!!!

"Jumanji fans", does such a thing even exist. :hehe: I've seen the original (admittedly enjoyable) movie dozens of times and I still wouldn't call myself a fan.
And how can I be annoyed at something I was barely interested in in the first place. Honestly, most of my interest was already killed when I heard about the main characters being avatars. Avatars in Jumanji... meh.

But it's ok if you feel differently. Movie could still be good, who knows.

EDIT: I feel like I should clarify that I was obviously joking about the Jumanji fans thing... of course they exist, why shouldn't they. It's a fun movie.

The original film is nothing more than okay to me.. When it comes to watching Robin Williams family films from the 90s I'd rather watch Hook or Aladdin 50 times than watch Jumanji once. I feel like the only 90s kid who didn't love this.

It's one of my favorites.
My love for Hook got reduced over the years.

So I heard the girl student's avatar is Jack Black? If so that's pretty damn clever and funny.

Not keen on the video game idea. The fun of the board game was that it felt like it could be hundreds or thousands of years old...a video game isnt going to have that kind of mystery.

Well... I hate saying this, kids now were born into a world where video games are "ancient." Not thousands of years old, but certainly something kids look at as that. Especially if they make it an atari type of game. However, showing my age, I'm getting an Oregon Trails feel from all this.

Yeh I see what you are saying but I think kids are still very aware and probably play board games still. I dunno I guess when they said it was a sequel/continuation that the board game element would remain intact but hey doesn't really matter.
