So what is the three act structure for this film?

Act 1 - volcano
Act 2 - the rich guys capturing dinos to auction
Act 3 - the dinos escape

The third act I’m not so sure on yet. Yes some of them escape for sure but I am very curious to see the state of things at the end. Where things leave off.

Is it weird that I'm not excited for this film? Something about it seems tired.

As seen in half the posts throughout the previous pages, you're not the first and you're not gonna be the last.

I like the director but something about what has been shown feels a lot like Lost World. At least Jurassic World had the novelty of the open park, which is something we didn't see before. This one just looks lazy.

If it's lazier than the last one, well, blimey, it's the end of this dino ride frankly.

The dinosaurs aren’t the turn off for me. It’s the “oh look the leads from the first movie broke up again just so they could get back together again in this movie” plot.

I agree. Really annoys me when sequels or movies do this.

I like most everything about National Treasure 2 except that part. And I'm still upset we never got a third movie. It's a sequel I actually wanted to see.

I like it, too, though I think there was something in the third act I didn't care for? Don't remember.

I remember one of the writers saying that those type of movies (the puzzle/mystery tying into real history etc) were just really hard to write and that's why it was taking so long. That interview was a number of years ago, though...

The second National Treasure was okay.
The first was the best BY FAR

I'm not very excited about this. The only great movie in the series is the first one. Others are not that good. I enjoy watching The Lost World but it isn't as good as the first one.

Of course it sounds worn out because it is a retelling of the same thing every previous movie did with dinosaurs run amok eating one another and people while a one upping volcano is now trying to wipe them out again.

I'm back and forth on whether to see it in the theater. I've seen all the previous ones there and while it's eye rolling how repetitive this one looks, it might have something new going for it. I'll probably wait to see what reviews say because at some point you have to say enough is enough.

Yep just look at the posts after this. Don't really want to derail the thread with negativity as there is a select few still hyped for this movie but damn these trailers have put alot of folks on the fence. Hopefully the film delivers in some way. Hollywoods going through a rut anyway lol

I think it would be interested if they really did go the Jurassic WORLD route aka the Dinosaurs spread and reclaim the Earth-- But that shifts the series waaaay off course in both story and tone.

I'm definitely going to see the film but I want to be much more excited about a dinosaur film. I'm not all that interested in the human characters and their stories either (apart from Goldblum of course).

Maybe that idea people had about dinosaurs being used as weapons being outfitted with military grade **** wasn't so bad.
