The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

You forgot the racist promo against Booker T where Trips then went on to beat him clean, and made him lay there for like 6 minutes before pinning him after only one pedigree.

I agree Oba Femi is the real test. He's huge, has presence, and charisma. His main roster debut should absolutely be defeating Sammi for the US title. I could see him against Damian, Jacob etc.

Melo had the great best of 7 with Andrade, that got ruined in the last match when they inserted Knight as a ref and neither guy won that the series. Melo over Miz is good. But then where does he go? Melo vs the MFT? As a face I'd put him against Gargano and let them have bangers. Or against either of the MCMG. Melo has charisma and there is something there. Maybe him against Ray Fenix? I see more matches for him as a heel. I think he could do with a switch to Raw and maybe go after Dom, and have matches with JD McDonaugh, Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate while they're not being Americanos and Kaiser. I think face Melo fits better on Raw.

We'll also have to see how Trick is treated in the main roster.

The lack of use of Omos is very puzzling. If he's not going to be used on the main roster, why not keep him in NOAH? Or before he was in NOAH, why not let HBK get a hold of him to see what he can do with him? Or even give him a run in TNA? NXT is desperate for main event talent on the men's scene, so why not bring the giant in? Omos said recently he signed a new deal with the WWE, which I thought was a mistake for him unless he likes making a ton of money doing nothing. He's made one appearance in AAA, winning their battle royal, but has not been back since.

I was just meaning the charges as a booker, I know he also had the ape stuff with Mark Henry back when he was wrestling.

I agree as a face the opposition on Raw is better for Melo, he's got Finn, Dom, JD, Kofi, Woods, Kaiser, Rusev to name a few, not to mention face vs face matches with Penta and AJ.

Trick is arguably even more a of test than Oba, as its easy to see how to start Oba off, but how over he gets will remain to be seen as he's fairly one dimensional. Trick on the other hand has size and a great look, but he's also a sports entertainer, he's flamboyant, charismatic, can talk and can be heel or face, there's so much you can do with him.

Can Omos be finally used for once? Him in NXT to bury Dark State please (among other things).

I think Oba will be on the main roster soon, but I could see them doing a short program between him and Omos, maybe they have a match on a AAA show.

Also all of those Raw opponents you mentioned are similar size to Melo height wise. Or at least don't dwarf him.

People are really pissed about that Je'Von Evans/Leon Slater ending at Bound For Glory. Heard it was a great match though.

And seriously, at 48 years old and after what he's been through, Jeff Hardy has no business doing swanton bombs off ladders.

That is because of the fact that HBK is still trying to make stupid Dark State a threat. It's his one terrible booking so far.

I'm definitely down for Stephanie vs Roxy

As per the main event I thought

Jey should have won that match. Getting the match and losing to Seth due to the Vision, could have sent him spiraling further into a heel turn. Kinda glad Knight didn't win here, as I want him to get at least one who reign in his career. Punk vs Seth again seems a bit soon. For sure there will be shenanigans

Especially after what happened afterwards.

the Vision turned on Seth

So do we think that

This was a pivot because Seth actually injured his shoulder against Cody, and will have to relinquish the title?

These boys were cooking

yes.

And Evans vs. Slater was ruined by the terrible Dark State. They need to put an end to that faction.

I figured Seth had to be injured given the shocking finish to Raw, eventually him and Bron were going to go at it, but I think it would have been post Mania before it happened. The funny thing about the way it was done, did the Brons turn face? Or double heel? 🤔

The triple threat main event was a solid match, but have they set up Seth vs Punk? Or have they just put Punk in the #1 contender spot in case they need to put the title on him to steady the ship while they work out what to do next. What I will say is they've cultivated Bron into a credible top guy, and essentially if Seth is injured they've used the situation to find a positive in a negative, with the way Bron simply took over the Vision from within, it's forced things 6 months ahead of schedule, but makes him look hungry and ruthless.

Rhea vs Kairi was a great match, internet numpties hate on Rhea because they don't understand why the company pushes the most over woman on the roster, but if you've got a clue look at how she made Kairi a star tonight, that match was as 50/50 as you'll see, and really Kairi has been nowhere near Rhea's level on the card until this recent feud, big stars in the past would eat their opponent up here, but Rhea always looks to elevate who she's in there with, and don't get me wrong, Kairi brought it on her end, it's the best match I've ever seen her have, but I just think Rhea deserves mire credit for being a top pro and always looking to bring the division up with her. That whole angle has been perfectly bobooked Iyo and Rhea couldn't be much more over, so they've used that to turn Asuka into the biggest heel in the women's division, and also priming Kairi for would could be the biggest push of her career when she finally breaks free from Asuka's control.

Speaking of the women's division, interesting little exchange between Stephanie and Roxy, but why would you beat Roxy earlier in the night if you're setting her up to be the next challenger for the World title?

Lastly, is this the 1st night where Bronson Reed's entrance music has had rapping? It sounded good and added to his presentation.

Was I the only one that didn't realise that was Tama Tonga on Smackdown until Wade said? The facepaint gimmick for the MFT's is worth a try, and the visual of them stalking the Wyatt6 was cool, but I don't know why they ended the segment with Solo jaw jacking with Abbie. At any rate this angle takes about 8 people I'm not interested in and has them fighting each other, so they aren't working with anyone I am interested in, thus I approve.

Priest and Black had a really physical Last Man Standing match and made the most of their main event opportunity, the finish with Zelina was well done, as was the fireball and big black mass bump. Zelina can add a lot to Blacks presentation and get herself back in the title mix at tge same time with this angle.

I'm still 50/50 about Seth and this shoulder.

He's a good actor after all.

Good point, and they didn't obliterate him like they would if it was an injury angle to take him off the show, but it's so abrupt I think they're edging their bets on how bad Seth's shoulder is.
