He also mentioned Cyclops role has INDEED been reduced because of the constraints he had with shooting Superman Returns. He has become less-important because of other characters. He had his time in X1 and X2 and now its Phoenix time to shine on the screen. There's a war coming and , for me personally , I dont want X³ to revolve around Jeans and Cyclops's relation ship.

Ugh, yeah even if Cyke lives, there is no doubt his role has been dramatically reduced. But I really see no reason for Cyke to become less important because of other characters (in a perfect world), and there is no way Cyke had "his time" in X2. It's amazing to me that you can actually write a storyline like X3 without Cyke being a big character.

There was no email ******. It was a press picture showing jean and the rest of the xmen at the end of X2 in the oval office. But of course jean dies in x2 and isnt in the oval office at the end. The picture led fans to beleive she lived, when infact she died.

Hoping it's true!! Cyclops has definitely been the most under used character in the movie franchise. If he is alive by the end of the movie (meaning Jean can still 'erase' him from existence and then bring him back) I would be really happy.

I can NOT name my source hence to some stuff I had to sign to get into the press-screening. he guy who send me this mail claims to have seen an advanced "rough-cut" of the movie and said Fox is making us believe Cyclops will die by the hands of Jean just like they did with X².

I was talking about the Jean Oval Office picture of X² where Fox mislead us for the first time I mean ... you guys all want Cyclops to live and have a big-role in this movie. For me , his presence would be good enough. The story is packed with enough action and drama. Phoenix , Bobby/Rogue/Kitty ... the bridge scene , danger-room ... Prof X death etc etc etc. I could go on and on and on.

My source is legit but its up to the studios to decide if he should die or not. Let me remind you all that the footage of Cyclops at the Lake ( Visor , him shooting the lake and all ) WAS INDEED shot. They could just put it back in with the blink of an eye.

If you would think logical and think about the SFX reports on Cyclops beams then you would probaly puzzle it together. Why go ALL out on a characters optic blasts when he dies in the first 20 minutes of the movie?

My source works at a pretty big Dutch Magazine who has been right from time to time Like 90%

The e-mail was written by a 13 year old kid?O RLY? I had to fcking translate that from Dutch to English Which is hard for me as it is. Anyhow ... I hope its true and that Cykes roll is bigger then just the oe-ah-im dead part

well that's a good point...but we know since a moment that anyways he will not have really lot of screentime ( but less screentime is not always less quality time..)

personnaly i would rather see him go with a bang than seeing him again in an X2 redduced (and insulting imo) role.. but i understand and feel for my fellow Cyke fans.
