Kevin Smith and the View Askewniverse

I'm huge fan of Kevin Smith and I like two Tim Burton Films ( Sleepy Hollow and a Nightmare before Christmas, possibly a third with Sweeny Todd, but that's it).

All of Kevin smith's films that he is working on are not going to be in the View Askewniverse, supposedly it's over.

the view askewniverse is only over FOR NOW. at the end of Clerks 2, it says "jay and silent bob are gone for now, but they may return soon. goodbye horses." so they may come back post Zack and Miri, Red State, and VA10. a clerks animated movie is in the works.

i like kevin smith when he is silent bob. if he starts talking i find his voice annoying and pretentious.... maybe thats just me. but he has excellent taste in movies, music, and actors. so i cant argue that he is a genius, just stay behind the scenes please.

I pretty much love all his stuff and I'm emmensely looking forward to Zack & Miri and Red State.

As for the "rivalery," I also love just about all of Tim Burton's stuff as well.

About the viewaskewniverse being over... I think we were to believe it was over too in Jay and Silent Bob..., after the end credits, God (Alanis Morisette) closes a book with "View Askew" written on the cover...

yep, that was the case. we suppose to believe that the View Askewverse was over. i still like to see a Mallrats 2. it'd be interesting to tie in some of the otehr movie characters into the film. although i kno, Jay and Silent Bob didnt handle that all that well. (actors playin double roles)

i thought it was done well, but ok.
and they need to do a straight NEW va movie, with a new duo of 2 guys (like Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy etc) with Jay and Bob as side characters. like the good ol days.

Kinda funny that him and Tim Burton are "rivals" since there movies are totally different, everything about Tim Burton's movie is about the atomsphere/set design, where Kevin Smith's are all about the dialouge.
