Today I went into Gamestop to sell Uncharted Drakes Fortune because my game was lame and stopped working. For some reason it couldn't get past the first load screen?

Anyways off-topic while I was waiting I noticed a big gamestop book that was for upcoming releases. So while I waited I thumbed through the pages and got the Playstation 3 release dates.

I started going down the list and I found Killzone 2 marked for April 7th 2008.

I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is the actual release date or if Gamestop is pulling their usual BS. I thought it was rumored Killzone 2 was coming out in September/October of 08.

Anyways just thought I'd let everyone know.

As for the negative part of that first link, apparently the source is F.ishie, he's an insider who also moonlights as a troll (in fact his original comments about KZ2 seeing it pre the E3 presentation reveal (at E3) was that it wasn't going to impress). He's now saying that the only aprts about the story that are true is the price and budget. Who knows, it's basically a big question mark right now.
He also said

"Let me put it this way, when Killzone 2 comes out HAlf Life 2 will be 4 years old, it's pretty sad that Guerilla can't be better than Half Life 2 (aside from graphics and Presentation)."

Well, I don't know Half Life 2 and associated products are awesome, so considering he's always trolled KZ2 to a degree, let's see the game before making any judgements.

I don't know how many chances we're supposed to give Guerrilla before they finally prove how crappy they are. It's the same deal as Heavenly Sword. Giving a crappy team LOADS of money still gets you a crappy game.
