bc most of the time the demos are far from the finish product and if they put a bad demo out there, then that will discourage people from buying the game

Hmmm I sort of hope they treat us like Mushrooms, to be honest. Keep us in the dark etc. I'm fine with a demo coming out a week or so, or even a month before the release, but earlier then that is pushing it. I hope they go into over drive with the marketting, but do it in a way that doesn't really spoil anything, I'm sure they'll find a balance.

It didn't need to after Sony shot themselves in the foot at launch, BEGGING customers to buy their product by tempting them with thousand dollar Bravias, so Bungie actually focused on making a good game this time.

Besides, Gears of War pretty much trashed the PS3's welcome party all by itself, so it would've more than a bit of an overkill, simply adding insult to injury.
