Killzone 2 showing straight after MS E3 Keynote, July 10th

Liberation shipped with an incomplete single player campaign and no online multiplayer component in place. Scoring 77 was impresssive given the circumstances, and the dlc was free, and actually the best part of the singleplayer game in terms of design and than the fantastic online component.

Know the situation before you sound off.

So, we can expect Killzone 2 to ship incomplete, and then fixed later? Aaawesome. :whatever: :o

I doubt it. They have said that the game will have full singleplayer and full online Multiplayer out of the box.

They actually said that? Wow, that's pretty sad when you have to assure everyone that, no, your game is not going to ship as a half-done "fix it later" sort of job.

It was a question on the Killzone forums. You see the rain cloud in every horizon don't you.

Killzone can ship with a Forge rip-off and a user movies option too. It's not going to make it any more worthy of time and money. Especially in comparison to the games it will launch against.

You remember when I said there are people who will choose to hate the game no matter what? This is why WHF's opinion on the game is worthless.

There's a flip side to that. There's a few people who are going to choose to love the game no matter what.

Believe it or not I do possess the ability to call a spade a spade (I swear :o).

This doesn't even matter, Sony cleverly set Haze up to suck so when you play Killzone 2, it'll feel a little better and therefore not a dissapointment.

Why don't you wait until you have some idea how the game is going to play before you bash it so heavily? You've no idea whether the gameplay and replayability will be excellent or extremely poor. Stop assuming you do. It's very ignorant.

It's strange that we know enough about this game to make a positive comment, but not enough to make a negative one. We can look at a screenshot and squeal over how beautiful it is, and that's perfectly alright, of course we can do that in this stage of development. But if we look at a screenshot and express a sense of disappointment or indifference, suddenly it's "ignorant" to comment on things at this stage of development. We can theorize about how great and wonderful it'll be all we want, but theorizing about how bad it'll be is somehow a totally unacceptable thing.

You people defending this game are screwed. Killzone 1 sucked, Killzone: Liberation was a notch above suck, and Killzone 2's gameplay videos make it look like more of Killzone. This isn't Crysis all of a sudden. Rationality points to this game following in the vein of it's predecessors.

Well you've made your opinion clear for now, however insane it might be.

I love how you write off "Developer Credibility" and "Gameplay Videos" as insanity and then make the argument that Killzone: Liberation when played in First Person would get 95% on gamerankings.com. :D

Oh noes teh logix. :wow: :wow:

People aren't 'theorizing' they're usually saying the game will suck and using insubstancial reasoning to back that claim up and proclaim it as fact. I don't really care if someone is indifferent, heck I'd take issue with claims that the game will be amazing, but it's a lot harder to form an arguement around when said guy is getting trolled by people who are saying that the game will be crap. :o

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME EAT SPINACHHH!!!!

:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

My mom was sick of spinach because I endlessly hoarded her for it every time I watched Popeye. :O

"What it takes to make a PSP top-down shooter easily translates to making a PS3 FPS, they're fundamentally the same!" - lulz.

If this isn't the most moronic thing I've seen today.
