Knight Rider 2008: The Thread

The continuity of the show doesn't make sense.

Apparently this is a sequel to the original Knight Rider. Yet they treat KARR as some sort of evil cyborg robot. KARR was not a cyborg robot.

And is KITT a new KITT? What happened to the original KITT? They act like the original KITT never existed.

82 KITT was in pieces...

oh noes! a cliffhanger!

One down two to go as well

From what I gathered, this was another KARR, just like Mike drives another KITT. They just made a similar mistake with this KARR in making self-preservation its prime directive.

We don't really know anything about this KARR, but I'm guessing it was designed for the military, but Charles and/or the military pulled the plug on it.

You'd think they would've corrected that particular flaw if this is a new one and they knew all about the old one. :o

KITT was fine at at the end of KNIGHT RIDER 2000 when Hoff retired.

Just saying they talk as if the original KITT and KARR never existed.

I thought Knight Rider 2000 was out of continutity.

Indeed:

Guy: Don't forget the self preservation program!
Guy 2: Hey they tried that last time, and it made the car a monster.
Guy: Shaddup.

well since there are no cryo prisons or James doonan and the knight 3000 isn't a red banshee, then yes Knight Rider 2000 is out of continuity.

Seems like the writers only check continuity as need be more than anything else.

I think the problem is that old Knight Rider fans don't like it because it's a failure as a "continuation"

They turned KITT into a transformer. People don't like that either.

And the dialogue and comedy is really hokey. What the hell is going on between Mike and the girl? Silly.

I watched the Vegas episode and besides some of the visuals the sets and look of that episode looked beyond cheap.

It's not like Hasselhoff was turning out high theater when he was doing the show, we just have fond memories of it because A) we were younger and really hadn't seen what good acting is and B) talking car

William Daniels wanted nothing to do with this....even prior to the pilot film....a bit uppity from the guy who play Mr. Feeny

Neither was Star Trek TOS but ST:TNG expanded bring old and new fans back to Star Trek:o

This show needs a lot of work.

Did you see Knight Rider 2000?

If I was Will I would turn down this show too:o

Yeah, I don't think Feeny would approve how trashy the women on this show are.

they are getting away from the weekly terrorist formula and going back to the "helping people" thing....maybe we get the truck and a cameo or two by the Hoff....I read the show and Hoff made nice and he will get a cameo if it warrants...

I thought they were planning for regular guest appearances by the Hoff in season 2.

I really don't know....have to see how the "refit" goes....see if it even gets a season 2

Not even the blantant flaunting of Deanna Russo's assets could save this show. Note to some NBC employees: A show need more than **** and ass to keep a show afloat.
NBC thought the same way about Baywatch. Guess they're making up for what they lost.

Deanna Russo and that Cho chick are hot, but it's clear why they are on this show.
