Warner just wants big names to pull in the crowds to make up for their pathetic summer in the box office. Again, it's the idea that picking BIG NAMES will lead to a success of a film. I am so sick of this crap for god sake just let things pan out. Nolan has seen all the actors who are trying for the role. If Phillipe is the one who wins out and not schrieber I know how everyone is going to cry and complain. The BEST actor should get the part. We fanboys have our opinions, hell I was for Hulme, but I was perfectly fine with the ledger casting. Like I said Nolan has seen what every actor has to offer. I'm all for Ledger as Joker, but Philippe is too much of a pretty boy. Liev Schrieber is a much better choice for Two-Face. Philippe could be the Riddler, since Riddler gets his ass handed to him all the time.

agreed. before i saw "way of the gun" i couldn't stand him, but after i saw it i was a "convert". sure, he isn't my first choice for dent, but we could do A LOT worse. if nolan and co. cast him, i'm fine with it, and i'll render judgement AFTER i've seen his performance. besides, no one knows if this is even legit, it's still only a rumor at this point...

Same here, he 'converted' me from a hater with his performance in TWOTG and i wouldnt be dissapointed IF he was cast.

Frankly, I just dont believe this casting rumor at all. Who do we have reporting it? Star Magazine and IMDB? Very reliable sources, aren't they?

I agree that everyone should take this rumor with a grain of salt. And yes, phillipe is too baby faced, however I think that would make his fall from grace even more compelling to the audience.
