Superman Returns Legendary on Board Superman Sequel

I agree.Put the trailer out earlier, and show the public that it will have more action.

As long as it isn't Zod. The same movie goers, or not movie goers, were alienated by the fact the story was to emotional and there wasn't enough action. A movie featuring enough action, and interesting villian, and with a solid action oriented marketing campaign will bring them back or entice them to catch this one.

That is just my theory and opinion. You never know what's going to happen.

A simple, 'More Action' will come in handy.

See, heres the problem. I really don't think Bryan Singer is capable of directing a good action scene. He has yet to do it.

Yup,more action will go along way.....

I thought there was plenty of respectable action in the X-Men movies.

You think that SR didn't fair well because it didn't have enough action? Now I haven't seen the film but name one Superhero movie outside of the Blade movies that are action packed? The more action thing is just something the studios tell people to make them feel like that was the problem. The real problem, believe it or not, was with the previews. As one of the few on here who haven't seen the movie yet, I'll tell ya...the previews were boring as hell and didn't have one good real money shot. Thats why I didn't see it! You can see Supes saving a plane on SV or JLU and that was WB's biggest money shot? Not Supes punching a supervillain into a building or punching a supervillain/big robot (sorry but I've always wanted to see Supes punch a big robot in live action) and then saving Lois or someone else from falling to their death after doing it. That would have been awsome, instead the previews made it look like Superman wouldn't be doing anything new or anything post 1998 cool. Pirates had some cool stuff that you hadn't seen before but Superman Returns looks like it was 8 years too late.

Nightcrawler's intro scene from X2 and Wolvie going crazy on the intruders during the X-Mansion bust. you might wanna watch those then...

Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Batman Begins, Hellboy, Daredevil...

...need I go on?

I couldn't agree with you more! And yes X-fans that includes X2's whitehouse attack and Wolverine and Deathstrikes fight, which aren't really big action scenes to begin with and are confusing, moderate to goofly directed fight scenes.

Those aren't action packed especially SM and SM2 and I love those films.

sorry they're confusing to you...

...most of the people who watched those scenes got them just fine.

I also got the scenes and I got that Singer isn't a good action director quite fine, thankyou very much.

It wasn't huge action in X-Men or X-Men 2 but it wasn't bad action to say the least, I don't personally agree that Singer can't direct action.

I'm not a big X3 fan but I liked it's cheesy ass well enough, but I thought that Mags bridge scene was bigger and better than anything in the first two.

I would imagine that it is, I unfortunately haven't seen X-3 yet. Then again, I would imagine that POTC3 will have more action than the first two, isn't that how it usually works?

I didn't say that my opinion was law or anything I'm just saying that most X-Men movie fans think that he is on Speilberg's level when it comes to action scenes and I just haven't seen any proof of such what so ever.

really? i couldn't tell by your screen name...

SM had the wrestling match, Spidey chasing Uncle Ben's killer, Spidey vs GG at the parade, Spidey vs GG at the burning building, and Spidey vs GG finale. that's 5 action sequences.

SM2 had Spidey stopping the thieves (hanging them on a stop light), Spidey stopping the Doc's project, Doc stealing from the bank and kidnapping Aunt May, Pete saving the lil' girl from the burning building, Spidey and Doc fighting on the train, and finally Spidey and Doc finally. that's 6 action sequences.

and those aren't even including Spidey swinging around the city at the end of each movie. not action packed? i smell something foul...

well then if you and most people who watched it "got" the scenes, how do you justify calling them "confusing". you're more confusing than those scenes are...

When he gets it right, he gets it right. That plane sequence was out of this world....

I'm only more confusing because you don't agree with me.

Singer is not Spielberg, but I think he yearns to be. I wasn't responding to your post Spidey, I was responding to Matts.

you're confusing because...

1) you said you understood the scenes and...
2) most of the people who watched it understood those scenes but yet...
3) you called them confusing.

I haven't seen it yet but is Supes saving a plane anything new? I mean we have all seen that before, I've never (or atleast when it's awsomely CGi'ed) seen fish Pirates or the kracken.

THere is no doubt whoever they use as a villain that this film will be better than Superman Returns:

WB has noticed it mistakes and watch more action and other things fans want....

I agree on the preview thing. As for other superhero films with alot of action, another poster answered that for me.I agree also with the been there done that feel to it.The sequel needs to expand its horizion's IMHO,to draw in the people that were on the fence, like you were(i think)lets just hope that they use the comics this time, instead of Donner's vision, which was cool for a restart, but now their is NO excuse to try something new.I see that you think that spidey 1 and 2 were not really all action?
