I absolutely LOVE The Professional, it had great drama, it had great action, and Leon was the biggest badass with a plant you will ever see.

Natalie Portman playing the twelve year old Mathilda was great even for her young age at the time and Gary Oldman did absolutely WONDERFUL! I loved his character even though he deserved what he got at the end of the movie....

Have you seen this movie?? If so tell what you thought about it and if you haven't GO! GO! Go to the Movie store down the block and pick it up....NOW!

Great film. One of Oldman's best performances, as well as Reno's.

Awesome movie! Can always watch this film without getting bored of it.

I've seen it once. Pretty okay, nice action sequences. And ofcourse, Oldman is fantastic as the psychotic villain (with the biggest handgun since the .44 Magnum). The best scene is Leon's ''Batman'' scene, it's the opening of the movie I believe.

Love The Professional. That opening scene is fantastic. It's a great, slow, methodical story. It's nice to find an action movie with good drama to it.

I really liked it.

3/4 Stars.

Damn right! that's one of the things why I loved the movie...

The Professional is a seriously awesome movie. Great story, great action and great performances all around. Oldman is at his best, and the chemistry between Reno and Portman is excellent. Definitely a classic and one of my favorite movies ever. I even had a Mathilda avvy for awhile.

The Professional is definitely one of the top 5 movies I recommend for people to watch, its entertaining. Its an action movie but it also has a story to it that makes you actually care about Leon and Matilda. At the very least you've got to give it credit for being an action movie that tells a story with depth. The entire cast did a great job with this film, by the end of the film you have the sneaking suspicion that Natalie Portman was going to be showing up in a lot more movies.

I love the movie, but I still don't understand how Oldman and his team essentially slaughter an entire defenseless family and no one really bats an eye over it.

The old lady comes out of her room to complain. :woot:

I've seen the American cut, but I'm really interested in seeing the "Real" version that cuts out a lot of darker plot points in the movie. The American cut is ok. Its a fun action movie with a heart.

That much gunfire I probably wouldn't be too keen on stepping out of my apartment to see whats going on. Dial 911 yes, stick my head out the door during gun fire, no thank you!

Leon ..... an incredible film.

You could argue that Portman and Reno have never been better.

I only saw this film last year as my mate loves it, its an amazing film I really enjoyed it a lot.

The love for his plante made me laugh hehe.

i fell in love with Portman, she was 12 and i was 10

yeah i saw this movie when i was 10

Amazing movie, but do we really need to have another thread about it? We already have one, right?
