Les Miserables: Even the thread will make you cry

But what did Hooper DO onstage, just wave to the crowd? Re Anne - some were speculating she was there to support Spielberg since she's doing his "Robotocolypse" (or however the heck you spell it LOL).

My impression was that he was the first speaker and introduced the event, maybe a "Welcome to the screening" sort of thing.

And here I was thinking he was slaving over the editing process in London! :oldrazz:

I doubt it, but I wonder if he'll make an appearance at Russell's show on Saturday (Sam will be a part of the show) if he's still in town.

I guess we'll never know if he was really there:

Did Tom Hooper ever come one stage before Lincoln? Because she definitely said he did. Might be fake.

@SubatomicCowboy @jenyamato Unless she thinks Steven Spielberg is Tom Hooper, no. But she may actually think that.

It's about time Anne did another romantic comedy. It's great to see her talent in this area. Apart from the Princess Diaries, she hasn't had a really proper rom com as such.

What are you talking about: Dark Knight Rises was totally a rom com. A young, ambitious career woman with a really mean boss helps bring an attractive but lonely billionaire out of his isolation, though he temporarily hooks up with a snobby rich girl who comes from old money. They even end up in Europe at the conclusion. Total chick flick!

BTW, I'm just finishing my October Oscar Prediction (I do them for nearly 7 years, and I usually am quite good at them), and if I am correct, than Les Miserables will land around 12-14 nominations.

Might you consider posting links instead of such big pictures...?

Oh, I think no-one doubts that Les Miz is going to get a lot of nominations ... there's just some uncertainity about actually winning them. But it is already sweeping the predictions and we haven't even seen the trailer.

But really, watching the extended look, tv spot and teaser over and over again, I wholeheartedly believe this film should be awarded all the possible oscars out there. But then again, I'm a really far cry from an expert, it's the first time I'm really interested in this stuff. Never waited a movie before. Never read any oscar predictions...

Wow, this seemed pretty boring. But I guess it's the music that makes it special.

Just think that somewhere the music is being recorded ... just now, on octobre 10th!

I don't get it...

Edit: Ah, now I see. It didn't load in my first attempt.

:')

I take back any reservations I may have had about him in the role.

Another new one, found on tumblr and apparently was seen in the NBC Experience store:

OMG.

TAKE IT. TAKE MY MONEY.

Well obviously I am going to have to walk past the NBC Experience Store tomorrow on my lunch hour and check out this poster! What if there's more hanging around we don't know about!!!!

I also work around there.

Let me take a look tomorrow. :wow:

It's about time they released the trailer.

Well, I see I'll be walking home by way of the NBC store tomorrow... :wow:

I noticed that at least one of the theater stores in the theater district is selling Les Miz shirts again.

Who else could've been better? Andrew Garfield?
:whatever:
At the time when it was just announced of Jackman's involvement, I felt Hollywood was over-saturated with Hugh personally, add the fact that I felt he was too young for the role to truly give it gravitas, but I do agree there really is no one else in Hollywood at the moment who would be a better choice.

He's actually two years older than Colm Wilkinson was when he originated the role in 1985.
