Lethal Weapon Reboot Series in the Works at WBTV and FOX

Lethal Weapon is one of my favorite movies, so even in this age of reboots, I'm glad it's being made into a television series. That being said, I would've preferred if this was on FX. You can get away with a lot more there, especially if want to do something like Lethal Weapon justice, but that's just my opinion. I'm not familiar with the guy playing Riggs, so I guess I'll wait and see with him.

Also, I like that Damon Wayans is a part of this, but has he done any other dramatic roles?

Actually Damon was in one of my favorite dramatic films Requiem for a Dream with Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly did very well in it. Definitely check it out Bran. I think he's an underrated actor honestly.

That's right so in that case no he hasn't had any dramatic roles.

I hope it's better than Rush Hour.

somehow, I kinda doubt it... I just have that feeling of apprehension about this...

Not sure it could be worse. It's certainly possible it could be I just don't know how they can mess up the story that much to do it.

Yeah, I don't think this looks bad. I mean, it's not the original and Murtaugh seems especially Damon Wayans-y, but it's not like I was expecting him to completely lose himself in character. I like the Riggs casting, though.

I didn't realize LaSalle's brother was playing Riggs. The tone is all over the place but the action looks good and some of the humour works. Just like the 24 show though they could have just made this an original show rather than slapping the Lethal Weapon name on it, cheap attempts to draw nostalgia interest isn't always that successful.

Clayne Crawford's Riggs looks to be the best part. Will give it a shot.

The tone feels off, and the guy playing Riggs doesn't seem to have much personality or charisma. I feel sorry for Damon Wayans. I feel like he deserves better stuff than this. He's pretty good actor.

The only thing that could be good is the performance of Riggs but I think the writing will hold him back. And I don't like Wayans as Murtagh who looks like he belongs in another show. On one hand you have a pretty unique character like Riggs where it looks like they want to utilize him well yet then everything else along with Wayans looks like a generic network buddy cop show... which is very regressive considering the original film is so classic and original in the buddy cop genre.

I dunno. This Riggs looks pretty boring to me. The actor doesn't show one bit of charisma in the footage above, and looks like he's trying to hard to mimic Johnny Depp and other similar actors...

Starts tonight.

Well that was brutal. I can't unsee a Bam Margera resemblance in Riggs and Damon Wayans seems to be channeling Blankman. This garbage fire looks like a Fox show shot in the early '00s.

well, THIS was an asswipe from hell... won't be tuning in to this from now on...
