Sequels Let's Cast Villains!

Gerald Butler would be a great Kraven.

I could see Vin Diesel doing well as the Shocker.

I'm still a fan of Oded Fehr as Kraven, due mostly to his exotic look and his size. He could convincingly come off as a foreign Survivorman-type hunter looking to take down the world's hardest prey.

For Carnage, I like the idea of Eric Stoltz. He's got the creepy criminal/paedophile vibe going for him. Well, I guess it doesn't really help HIM out, but the characterization would be pretty good.

We're all pretty unanimous in our support for Bruce Campbell as Mysterio, eh? I don't know though, he seems better suited to having a scene-stealing role every now and then rather than being the main villain. Plus, he'd be too recognizable from the previous films.

I hope I'm not alone in thinking Elisha Cuthbert would make a not-bad Black Cat... she's not the world's best actress, but she doesn't really have to be. She could be sultry and sexy.

For Electro, I'd like to see a little nerdy guy... maybe J.P. Manoux, who's currently on ER as the dickweed surgeon.

Rhino, I like the idea of Dominic West.
dom west as rhino? hell no, hes kraven and elisha would suck, yeah she isnt the best actress but she cant even act so its even worse, plus shes too young

Whoever came up with Malcolm McDowell for Hobgoblin, that's almost too perfect! Good job. If there ever would be a Hobgoblin though...I almost doubt it.

But really, Bruce Campbell as Mysterio? Are you guys serious? Yes, I know, the rumors, but is that the only reason why it's unanimous? I agree, the man could hold down a villain role no problem, but we've already seen and come to expect the comedic cameo. To stick him in the main evil role isn't going to work. Not to mention we're not sure if Raimi's even coming back...and there's no point to Campbell if Raimi's not there to use him right.

Bruce Campbell fits what the character is, over-the-top.

Not in the same way. I see him as more understated, tongue in cheek. When he does over-the-top, it's more physical. Mysterio is over the top like Willem Dafoe was over the top as Green Goblin or Jack Nicholson as Joker.

Lizard - Dylan Baker
Kraven the Hunter - Dominic Parcell
Vulture - Ben Kingsley
Mysterio - Bruce Campbell
Carnage - Jude Law

A lot of Campbell's theatrics are very Mysterio to me. Beck has some Ash in him. GG and the Joker are not the same over-the-top. The Joker is theatrical, like Mysterio, but he is creepy over-the-top. GG is not the same over-the-top either. He lacks Myserio's theatrics, and is just creepy and crazy (unlike the Joker who at least is theatric).

That is Mysterio's over-the-top, in theatrics, and the Evil Dead movies are ripe with theatrics and tongue-in-cheek.

The next villian has already been cast, he's been in all three, and that is Dr. Curt Conners...The Lizard, he just has to be in 4, he's been teasing us all along, we know who he'll become, and it's time for the Lizard to come to life.

Then in 5, Kraven, in 6 bring back Venom and have Carnage in it, or just Carnage.

Why on Earth would you have Kraven in a movie seperate from the Lizard? Kraven is pretty much only of value to the series if he is paired up with the Lizard. Otherwise, you're taking a completely special-effects free villain, whose storyline is pretty shallow WITHOUT the Lizard involved, and taking up the space of more important villains who would work better story-wise and have cooler special effects with greater potential for quality action scenes. For Kraven, it's now (assuming they use the Lizard_ or never.

I see no use for Kraven if not with the Lizard. And don't give me that Chameleon brother bulls***.

Who said it was.

If you're going to try and get the last word in a conversation, at least pay attention.

You are preaching to the choir. I have said that over and over. So what was it I failed to pay attention too.

I think for Kraven you need an imposing actor who can bring out the physicality of the role, I wouldn't mind seeing Shane Brolly or even Scott Speedman try out for the part.

Shane Brolly already played "Kraven."

No offense but.......no.

Sorry, just my opinion.

Electro* - Ryan Gosling

Yep. Agree with you there. Thought I was the only one that would think that.
Writing a SM5 script as I type and Gosling has been in my mind for the character from beginning to end.

I think he would make a great Electro.

Two of the movies I'd suggest seeing are 'Half Nelson' and 'Stay'
