Let's Make The Marijuana Thread Again!

I've never been a drug user so it means jack to me whether marijuana gets legalized or not but if it's used properly for medicinal purposed more power to them but then you get the idiot constant drug users who don't take it seriously and only want it legalized so they can have an excuse to smoke it freely.

And actually if the potheads want to smoke it I say let them that way they can die sooner and decrease the population.
What exactly would cause them to die sooner? Show your work.

Hahahaha wow, somebody must walk around pretty bitter about the world around them.

the only part of his post that isn't a fallacy is the fact that potheads could end up smoking every day, even several times a day. But if someone drank alcohol that much they'd risk alcoholism.

anyways. one time, we get a news article about how chronic marijuana use could alter your hippocampus and what not and lead to schizophrenia, and then we get one that says its bs. how do we know who to believe?

You believe the people who have smoked pot for years and years and aren't schizophrenic.

Excellent talk from neuroscientist Professor David Nutt on the actual dangers/effects of various drugs & media/political biases:

In the first 30 mins - Cannabis does not cause Schizophrenia. Rate of cannabis use increased 20x over the last number of decades, rate of schizophrenia stays the same if not dropping.

You're disappointed in Bloomberg?

That tool tried to ban soda.

The fact that someone that control-obsessed could hold office in the Land of Liberty is shameful.

and yes that hypocrite has probably been buzzed on alcohol more than a few times.

We know your not amish, soda nazi. Your just a machine of some sort.

i don't know that much about the guy, but to hear any politician talking smack about pot is a smh moment, but to hear them talking crap about the ongoing legalization of it is another whole thing to shake your head about.

There was an episode of highway thru hell on, "prove yourself," this guy got pulled over and had a bunch of marijuana in the car. I think this was in Alberta, and he had a license for medical but not the amount he had.

what's funny was that the narrator said that the driver's plans for destination "just went up in smoke"

lol.

I wonder if that was supposed to be an inside joke.

New Mexico Senate Passed a Marijuana Legalization Bill

"With a never-before-seen and very close call on Thursday, the New Mexico Senate Rules Committee passed a proposed constitutional amendment, with a 5 to 4 vote, that would legalize, regulate and tax a recreational cannabis market in the Land of Enchantment."

"The legalization of hemp is also included in this amendment proposal."

Vermont Could Be Next State To Legalize Recreational Marijuana

"Senate Bill 95 would legalize the possession, use and sale of recreational marijuana in the state for those 21 and older. Adult residents could possess up to an ounce of marijuana and grow up to nine plants (two mature, seven immature) for personal use, including any additional marijuana produced by those plants. Personal cultivation would be limited to secure indoor facilities.

Non-residents could also enjoy the new laws, legally purchasing up to one-quarter of an ounce of marijuana from a licensed retail shop."

aha! goody goody news!!:shr:

still though, this country has it illegal by federal law so no matter how many states legalize it, there's always that

Once enough states pass it the feds will have little choice but to turn it over, or just ignore it.

still, the fact that they are keeping it illegal without convincingly explain why makes it hard for me (and others I'm sure, among other reasons) to trust them.

It would be nice to see a State legalize marijuana through state legislator(as opposed to statewide props). I think it will give the movement much more credibility that way

I don't really see lawmakers passing laws any more valid than voters passing laws.

But some variety wouldn't hurt I guess.
