Let's Make The Marijuana Thread Again!

I agree that medicinal marijuana (as I described above, the non THC medicinal MJ) is quite likely sound to be taken under a medical practitioners oversight.

Anything one ingests or injects etc into one's body should always be taken seriously.

If you want to not mess yourself up.

I quit smoking recently. It's been around a month or so now. I quit for personal and health reasons but, I feel pretty damn great now. It's not easy because I live with people who smoke and friends of mine still smoke and I crave the taste of it more than anything now but, yea, I'm feeling pretty, preettty good about it now. Proud of myself too. My caffeine addiction has resurfaced in recent months, though. Can't win all the time, I guess. Hopefully some day, I'll feel comfortable enough to blaze up again but, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Me when I saw Spring Breakers stoned a few years ago the theater:

One of the best things ever was seeing Avatar in 3d stoned out of my mind. My first 3d movie too. My friend who was with me was one shrooms and I could feel him squirming in his seat next to me. I just kicked back and put my hoodie up to where I couldn't seeing anything but the screen in front of me. It was insane. Too bad the movie wasn't better but man, it looked freakin' gorgeous.

Good for you. I'm almost three months smoke free now. I still dream about smoking, but otherwise, I'm doing really well without, and I actually wake up from those dreams relieved that I didn't actually smoke. I briefly started smoking too much tobacco in the wake of quitting, but I got a handle on that too and I'm 100% nicotine free now too.

I actually think sometime in the (not near) future, I'll probably indulge again. Pot is a lot of fun, but I also know that I've enjoyed it so much more when I wasn't a full on stoner. If I save it for special occasions, then it's actually special.

I still dream about it a bit and yea, I'm very relieved when I wake up and realize it was just a dream. I quit smoking cigs 5 years ago, though. Quitting smoking everything now is pretty hard just because I really miss that feeling of inhaling and exhaling smoke. Oh well, there's more to life that it most certainly.

That last page feels an awful lot like one person having a conversation through two different account.

SO ANYWAYS....

I'm pretty stoned right now. Decided to break out double bub and watch zombies.

I know what you guys mean. You smoke too much and you start having anxiety attacks and stuff. It can mess with your head if you smoke heavily for long amounts of time. Also, it's nice to have more money in your pocket.

I used to have problems until I curbed down on it and learned that sniffing black pepper curbs anxiety and taking ibuprofen can take out some of the short term memory effects too.

And yet it was not.

And if you doubt it then report it to the admin and mods and I am sure they'll be happy to investigate. :cwink:

There are different strains of cannabis and different brains respond to them differently.

One person can smoke one strain and have a great experience and another person can smoke the same strain and have a bad experience and side effects.

Which is another reason legalization would be helpful. Strains would labeled and people can stick to strains with fewer side effects. Currently it's like not knowing what prescription drug you're taking.

Heck, people can't even be sure if they're smoking indica, sativa, or a hybrid let alone what strain. It's kind of ridiculous.

My anxiety attacks come from medication I'm on which makes it hard to keep smoking. I've heard you say the thing about black pepper before and still don't know if you're joking but, I think I'll just forever take your word for it. Never heard about Ibuprofen helping memory either. Hmmmm.

Wow. That's pretty cool. I'm telling ya, terpenes are the future.

Huh, never heard of this. I've had (minor) anxiety attacks when smoking before, not very often at all and seemingly random but it has happened.

Here you guys go.

In the article “Taming THC,” scientists report having discovered more than a hundred terpenes that “may contribute meaningfully to the entourage effects of cannabis-based medicinal extracts.” Terpenes create the many scents of cannabis and are shared among the plant kingdom. Scientists explored how these aromatic oils synergize and mitigate the active cannabinoids contributing to an entourage effect.

Basically Caryophyllene, a terpene found in amongst other things, Black Pepper, can potentially help with things such as anxiety and depression.

Hey stoners have any of you watched the web series High Maintenance?

Anyone see the deabtes?

Bernie Sanders said he's ready to Legalize Cannabis.

Hilary Clinton said she's not and she wants more research, but she wants to leave it to the states to decide, likes medical cannabis, and favors decriminalization. It's progress for her.

It's a shame that they didn't get more into it and they didn't ask the other candidates thoughts on it. I wished they discussed it more. Anyway, I'm glad that at least the top democratic candidates are against throwing people in prison for cannabis possession.
