Let's Make The Marijuana Thread Again!

I just walked my dog at night while listening to Wu Tang.

Next I'll eat some cheddar and watch Rick and Morty.

Life is good.

Great idea

Life is good.
You said it brotha

I have had one of the most stressful weeks of my life but I still can't help but feel great.

Life's a beauty.

Defending a concept, idea, or thing is different from becoming defensive personally. You'd swear weed is some intrinsic part of people like Messiah's existence. There's a difference.

My engagements in this thread have been 90% the same, with pioneers like Messiah twisting my words to make it seem like I'm hunting down his precious lifeblood :whatever:

LMFAO, are you stoned right now? Where did I say that? Are you honestly stupid enough to start fabricating arguments based solely on extrapolating what I've said?

Yeah, obviously I don't give **** about people who could be helped by marijuana, since I've explicitly stated it. And yeah, I love the fact that the USA spends billions on prosecuting a less harmful substance than alcohol and ruin people's lives because of it.

/Sarcasm. Since apparently following basic logic is difficult for you ;)

...Are you and IntelligenceDecoy on the same thing? Because obviously all my comments mean I don't want cancer patients to get a more accessible treatment for their pain, right? :whatever:

Lol keep on going though guys, I'm sure at this rate and with representative like you guys weed will be 100% legal statewide in no time

You seem agitated and on edge. If only there was something that could help.

I'm also passionate about civil liberties, social democracy and neurodiversity.

I debate all of them from the heart and see no problem with doing so.

Well, made by one guy who admitted in the article he half-assed it. :hehe:

Take some pride in your work, Sgt. ffs.

I don't blaze nearly as much as I used to, but some of my favorite times are when I get the chance to twist up an L and smoke in bed while watching some old/obscure/awesome movie after a long day.

Indeed sir, indeed.

i've been pretty miserable with life lately, and a good friend of mine said to take an impulse trip down to florida, then he and i would go to colorado together not only to have fun but to fix my resume and look for employment, and he offered to spot me the entire time.

That's good person.

You're lucky.

I'm planning a trip to Colorado myself.

It made the bucket list recently.

There is nothing more spectacular than taking a couple bowl hits, putting on Real Men starring John Ritter and John Belushi, and letting my childhood memories and nostalgia come rushing back like raging rapids of emotions.

You should try it sometime. :BA

Republican voters to feds: Butt out of marijuana reform

By significant margins, Republican voters in the early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire say that states should be able to carry out their own marijuana laws without federal interference. Sixty-four percent of GOP voters in Iowa say that states should be able to carry out their own laws vs. only 21 percent who say that the federal government should arrest and prosecute people who are following state marijuana laws.

In New Hampshire, that margin is even slightly higher with 67 percent of GOP voters saying the feds should stay out.

"We put these polls into the field because we want presidential candidates to understand that the voters in these key states — who they need support from to win — overwhelmingly want the next occupant of the Oval Office to scale back federal marijuana prohibition," said Tom Angell, chairman of Marijuana Majority, in a statement.

But, he added, "a small handful of the contenders are still talking about sending in the DEA to arrest people who are following state law, and we hope these new numbers send a message to those outliers that this type of outdated drug war bullying just isn't going to score any points in 2016."

Candidates will likely have to contend with the fact that opposition to federal interference in state marijuana policy also runs high among state lawmakers. Earlier this month the National Conference of State Legislators passed a resolution urging the federal government not just to butt out of state laws, but also amend the Controlled Substances Act to enshrine a federal hands-off approach to pot in the law.

But I'm pretty sure prohibition is popular with Republicans nationwide.

So the Republican candidates will most likely try to avoid the issue until they can win the presidency then they will back draconian drug laws.

I must admit I'm no fan of vaporizers. I still roll my **** up or use my gandalf pipe. I really dig watching rick n morty while in a haze.

Only God Forgives works so beautiful with MJ.

Like your style. I enjoy rolling blunts and hitting my dragon bowl. Have never watched this Rick and Morty that you speak of.

Yes, Rick and Morty. I have only seen previews of episodes while I was watching Family Guy or Aqua Teen. Didn't really catch my interest but I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks.

First ep is meh, but keep with it. You will love it.

what the hell? what is the point of even having designated state laws if the federal law will supersede and reprimand people who follow it?

One key to to remember about federal laws is that if it does get enforced, you're gonna end up pissing off half the states in the union. Enforcing federal laws also means taking away medical cannabis too.

yes, and that means having states have their own laws and rights does not make any sense, begging the question, what is even the point?

Man Pleads Insanity to Killing Wife After Eating Weed Candy

A Denver man who was accused of murdering his wife after eating weed candy has now changed his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity. The tragic incident occurred in April 2014 when Kristine Kirk was on a 911 call, telling dispatchers that her husband, Richard Kirk, had been acting erratically after eating an edible called “Karma Kandy Orange Ginger.” His original plea was not guilty.

Before she was shot, Kristine told 911 her husband started acting paranoid, climbed through a window and cut his legs on broken glass, AP reports. She was begging him not to retrieve a gun from a locked safe. Dispatchers then heard a gunshot and the call went quiet. The couple’s three children were also present at the time of the killing.

While Kirk is now pleading not guilty by reason of insanity, voluntary drug and alcohol use cannot be the basis of his defense. From AP:

Experts will have to consider Kirk’s behavior in the days, weeks and months leading up to and following the shooting, said Steven Pitt, a forensic psychiatrist who has worked on sanity cases but isn’t involved with Kirk’s case. His mental health history likely will also come into play.

The couple had also been experiencing marital and financial problems. Kristine had a life insurance policy worth $340,000 at the time of her death.

Following this case and the death of a college student who jumped off of a hotel balcony after eating a pot cookie, Colorado edibles now have tighter regulations—including stricter potency limits and new packaging.
