Let's not ride the bandwagon

One of my favorite hero movies ever. So much fun. Liam is amazing.

All the Evil Dead's are classic, Quick and The Dead is badass, Drag Me To Hell rules...havent seen his dramatic stuff. It's never on.

His style is just so awesome. Every short film I do, I always include one Sam Raimiesq shot as a homage.

Check out A Simple Plan.

You can think they're good..but they really arent. I mean, I like a few crappy movies, I dug all the Friday movies, even the new one...but I would never say they're "good".

I think that's the problem why you guys get flack. You try and show people that they arent bad...when they are. Just enjoy 'em and dont care what people say. :yay:

Why not? Because I see Epidsode 1 and 2 are 60+ percent on Rotten Tomatoes. And episode 3 is even higher than that

^It really is man, great preformances all around, and elfman's score is class

Check out A Simple Plan.

In a weird way it reminded me of Macbeth; his wife put one twisted idea after another in his head until he was basically no longer the same person.

Can't tell if you are joking or not. Really hope you are.

The new trilogy isn't as bad when you realize that it was probably Lucas' intention to portray the characters so badly. We were given this romanticized view of what the Republic must have been like before the Empire, and that image was painted by nostalgia for the old days. Then when we're thrust into the prequels, it turns out things were a lot worse than we thought. Anakin was never as noble as Luke was told, the Jedi weren't as wise or competent as we'd imagined, and the Republic was a poorly run government that likely would've collapsed without Palpatine's aid.

That said, I still don't like the movies. I just dislike them with better perspective.

I'm not. My issue is people trying to explain to me that these films are somewhat decent. I dont see that. I dont care if you like them....just dont try and make me think they're good. Ya'no? :o

The worst trait of bandwagoners is that they are almost invariably intolerant of a different opinion. Why? Why do I have to like or dislike something just because you do? Why can't we disagree without being disagreeable?

That's not bandwagoners. That's people in general. Some people genuinely believe one thing, and simply can't leave well enough alone when they find someone who disagrees.

I'm not going to lie, my bandwagon hate is at it's peak. I jsut can't stand it anymore.

Now, there's this thing that happens in the Spider-Man films forum. People used to love the films, but now hate them just to hate them, and act like like they always hated them ,when that is in fact, NOT TRUE! It's sickening. I'm sick of hearing people say what should be done right, when alot of them have no idea how to make a film at all. I'm sick of the constant bashing Raimi supporters, such as myself get. I'm sick of the ignorance that some of the bahsers have. I'm sick of them bashing Riami. I'm sick of everytime a basher has something nice to say about the Spider-Man films, they follow it up with an insult. I'm sick of it all!

I was reading a thread that showed josh Hutcherson's audition tape. One of the users said that hearing the music from the past films mad him cringe really made me just....feel liek i was gonig crazy. The fact that they even criticize the music makes me laugh.

Trust me and alot of other people, comic book films wouldn't be where they are today without the Spider-Man films.

Also, not every basher is like this, but most are. I'm also sick of the fact that people think that us Raimi Spidey film supporters hope that the reboot fails, which is NOT TRUE at all. We hope the reboot is amazing, and we have faith, it's just that we wanted S-M4.

What the hell are you talking about? This is just so wrong that I'm unfortunately upset at you being wrong on the internet of all places. What has gone wrong with the world these days to have people like you posting such things that I don't agree with?!

This.
And @ Manic, while you may be right overall that attitude is more prominent, from my experience, among those who have just jumped on the newest fad or newest bash.

That must be damned annoying. I remember when some people did the same with Burton's Batman movies after Nolan did his version. It's like they think they have to hate one to like the other or something.

I hate bandwagon haters more then bandwagon fans personally

That's understandable. Bandwagon haters are the true opinion Nazis; they don't allow you to have a favorable opinion of something that they have decided is crap. And will beat you over the head with what they think until Chris Brown is popular again. Bandwagon fans aren't usually as bad. Say you don't think The Dark Knight is the greatest comic book movie of all time (although it's probably a lot safer to say this now than it was 2 years ago) and you might catch some flak from those who need to defend it. But say you liked "Spider-Man 3" and they're ready to lynch you. I remember when MJ was alive I got 10 times as much heat for listening to him (especially when I was in the Marines) than I ever got for saying I didn't like rap, even though that was almost considered treason in the black community.

Another thing, how come some of the badnwagon fans that are 30-40 years old sound like they are making jokes a 5 year old would make? There was a certain user on here that whent razy insane in a good way for the reboot. He said "time to party" and stuff like that. I mean, fhor christs sakes, he's probably in his mid 30's. He's probably dancing around in house that night like an immature little child. That's how they act.

There's another user that actaully said "Oh, I just can't believe some of you like Raimi's version." Now, that user talks bad about Raimi's version in EVERY SINGLE TRHEAD IN THE SPIDER-MAN FILM FORUM LIKE HE's 12 YEARS OLD. IT's funny because people always say "You Raimi lvoers can't accept our opinion". That's not it! You guys are asses towards us for no reason!

Ever since Michael Jackson's death, suddenly everyone loves his music again, calling him a genius and are sympothizing with him. People wear him on shirts, etc.

Before this, I seem to remember constant jokes, calling him a pedophile (although I don't believe he did it) and an insane man.

Now since the man is dead, he is treated like a King again. It's a damn shame. How about we said this stuff when he was alive? Now since he's dead, it's okay to come out and say all of this, or because he's dead he's just automatically shifted to a misunderstood genius.

I swear, someone has to die until people start respecting them again.

This

I always thought Michael was a misunderstood genius. The dude was still treated with respect outside of America though. I seen a dvd of one of his concerts in Bulgaria and the way they acted was like Christ himself returned.

My opinion of the man is the same as it was before he died.

Okay, but on the flip side don't try to tell ME how bad you think the movies are.
