Let's not ride the bandwagon

Ever since Michael Jackson's death, suddenly everyone loves his music again, calling him a genius and are sympothizing with him. People wear him on shirts, etc.

Before this, I seem to remember constant jokes, calling him a pedophile (although I don't believe he did it) and an insane man.

Now since the man is dead, he is treated like a King again. It's a damn shame. How about we said this stuff when he was alive? Now since he's dead, it's okay to come out and say all of this, or because he's dead he's just automatically shifted to a misunderstood genius.

I swear, someone has to die until people start respecting them again.

I still make fun of him, and call him a pedo. :hehe: His death changed nothing for me.

Okay, but on the flip side don't try to tell ME how bad you think the movies are.

But...the bad is the fact....:awesome:

It's like....Batman and Robin. It's a terrible movie...period. You can like it...but it's not good. That's my point. :o

He's winding you all up.

I agree with this thread, I LOVED Spidey 3, liked X3 and enjoyed Wolverine. I think those movies get a lot of unfair bashing just because its "cool" to hate them. I mean imo they were nowhere near as bad as Batman and Robin, Blade 3 or Elektra.

Also I never thought TDK was as good as its made out to be, I enjoyed it but it wasnt the perfect adaption ever produced on screen as it would it seem by peoples love of it.

Actually, im going to have to bring my point back, even though I used it in a joke...but after the post above, I just have to.

X-3, Spider-Man 3, and Wolverine are pretty awful movies. They lack good characters, a good story, suffer from too much **** going on, and a total lack of competence.

X-3 goes from place to place without any real emotion. It's all generic standered crap. Oh no, Prof. X died! We have to feel sorry...but we dont. Because everyone in this movie is so boring and useless, they can kill the whole cast without anyone blinking an eye.

Wolverine has NO story, and NO character development. Even the Wolverine character isnt even Wolverine from the X series. He's a whiney little girl, who does nothing but mope around. Where's that berserker fighting machine they hinted too? He kills what....6 people in that whole damn movie? Bah.

Spider-Man 3....well, Venom ruined the whole thing so...whatever. It had no tone, no sense of finale...it was just so bad. It was overbloated, way too long, and had no reason to continue. They changed an entire plot point for no reason other then to attempt to give the villain some connection to the main character. And the characters...oh god, the characters. Peter is a little *****. Look, I know he's going through a lot...but goddamn man, stand up for yourself. Tell that ***** MJ that his job is way more important then her petty ass needs. Which leads me to MJ. She is one of the nastiest, most selfish character i've seen in a comic book film.

She spends the whole movie *****ing at Peter because he's spending more time SAVING PEOPLE'S LIVES. Wow. What a *****. And the fact that all she does is cry about how she got bad reviews...NO ONE CARES.

When Peter slapped her across the face, that was a highlight. Horrible character.

And all these are from day one of seeing the film. Not because it's "Cool" to hate. Honestly, if Spider-Man 3 was everyone's favorite, i'd hate just the same. Because it's terrible. It doesnt matter if you like it...but as a movie, it fails.

I enjoy the Friday the 13th movies.....would I ever say they are well made films? No way. Because they arent. I love them....but they're ****. They arent well made movies.

Which brings me to my final statement, I loath the bandwagoners who attack people for not liking a movie, and use the excuse "hate it because everyone else does". Which is simply not true.

Late night rant over. You stay classy San Diego! :awesome:

It does actually, because just like you, we're allowed to have differing opinions:awesome:

but thats down to opinion, if you felt they were bad movies then fair enough. But I enjoyed them, they had their flaws but I wouldnt put them next to such masterpieces such as Giant Squid vs Mega shark.

You're not really adding to the discussion but rather providing a great example of the typical poster around here when you have a differing opinion.

Acually, I am. All those points are valid. Most of that stuff is a fact. All those movies lack good writing, and good characters. You can still love it forever and ever and ever...and maybe the bad will never bother you...but that still doesnt change the fact the movies are disliked for a reason. It's not because "They arent true to the comics!"...it's because they ARE terrible movies...

"Good" and "bad" are subjective terms.

Not everyone thinks they are terrible movies. Every movie has people that hate it and people that love it.

But the only opinion that actually matters is mine. Everybody else is just *********ing.

Come on Anubis, we all know you're *********ing too. This is the internet.

Wow, going over this thread, many seem to let the general idea of a fanboy go over their head. Just because someone's opinion mirrors the consensus of something doesn't mean they're a fanboy.

Umm... have you ever thought that the reason that a majority of people don't like something is because that something truly might... uh... suck?

But those that DO like it shouldnt be mocked

Sure they should. Otherwise, how will they know that their opinions suck?

They can see for themselves that most people disagree with them
