as i replied in the other one , i was mentioning the theme of Closure for some characters.
in the book there was a scene right after angel's rescue, his father and him have a chat. i thought that would of been a thing to film. considering, thats the relationship that birthed the cure in the first place....
i dont want to start a 'would could of...' it just seemed the movie had missing pieces like that one.

They cut some of the President's lines too.

Trask said(which they cut), "You are talking about declaring war on U.S. soil."

So obviously the President had different lines.

I wonder if they cut some of Colossus's lines.

and dvds leave out things, we didnt even get a second x2 dvd. then again those commentaries were revealing enough, "yea instead of just this boring scene, we were gonna cut to this and that, but i changed my mind, cause i dont care."

it seems recently with dvds though they are very selective about what they show, like there was a lot of stuff cut from EP III, and i have visual evidence of its existence, but lucas elected not to show us...
so who knows with this one....
i just hate the excuse, we cut it for pace, especially if its not a repetative scene.

It wasn't that long ago when the pic was released... I'm surprised people forgot about it. Like I said, it was on the front page.

Best I can hope for is that I can educate people - family and friend alike - about what was left out, and the TRUE history of some of the characters and so forth.

Plus didn't Aaron Stanford say that even during the regular shooting, they kept shooting alternate versions?

Three different endings? I'm pretty sure that was all we saw, more or less anyway.

The ending we saw(the Magneto one) was shot later on, I don't think it was in the script judging by what Stewart said...

Assuming Angel DID sneak aboard the X-Jet, I think Angel MUST'VE taken more of a part in the battle then we saw...

What's he doing up until his father's pushed off the roof? Sitting aboard the jet, just WAITING for something to happen to his dad?

Found this...

Nobody had told me how this film ended. I was aware that there were 3 endings. There was an ending I had read in one script. There was an ending that I had filmed in the first days of production when we were out on Vancouver Island which was never on the call sheets. There was no documentary evidence that this scene had ever been shot. We were also told 'You don't talk about this, you don't talk about it to the rest of the cast.' Since few people were in on the scene. This was the scene with the guy on the bed. Then Ian, Sir Ian [McKellen] called me up a few weeks ago and said 'You may be interested to hear that I am filming a scene in London. I am playing chess.' And I said 'Ok, who are you playing with?' And he said 'Well they haven't told me yet who I am playing with I don't know and they say this is going to be the end of the movie.' So last night was somewhat a marvel experience to sit down and watch a movie in which I had no idea whether the ending would or would not involve me.

Can we estimate how many minutes of deleted scenes were cut... is the film still 105 without credits even with the missing scenes?

It's kinda hard to tell if anyone was ever lying to us...

Most likely the movie was still in the editing process so there could've been scenes taken in and out and the writers probably didn't know until after they were cut...The same with Ratner...His statements early about deleted footage came around the end of production and the beginning of post production...Alot could've happened after he said that, so I'm staying neutral on this..Simply saying that they LIED is assuming that we apparently knew more than them, which we didn't. So what we need right now are answers..
