The Dark Knight Likes And Dislikes

It's really weird how Heath's hair is like that while he's in jail. Compared the second pic, it looked like he used a straightener to let his hair fall down. I much prefer the "prison look" but the greasy, slicked down hair is diggable also.

^^^ when heath was announced as the joker, I knew deep down he would have long hair. I think it fits perfectly with his joker, its dirty and stringy, doesn't really care about his appearence, he could have been normal then went crazy some time back, not cutting his hair since that incident. if he had a clean hair cut, it wouldnt work as well.

i think its because his hair is really dirty, greasy, wet in the jail scenes so it curls up more and is slicked back.

"In the meantime, sir, may I suggest you try to avoid landing...on your head?"

I live in Perth, there's a joke going around that the WC Eagles choked on the Swans feathers in the fourth quarter. :word:

The Joker's hair in the interrogation room scene in the IMAX featurette is exactly how it should have looked throughout the entire movie.

Pushed back.

Well Hello beautiful :oldrazz:

I live in Perth, there's a joke going around that the WC Eagles choked on the Swans feathers in the fourth quarter. :word:

there's another perth-based member here?! :wow:

as for my likes/dislikes:

LIKES

- the way the character of the joker has been handled; from appearance to performance. i was one of the doubters when i heard heath ledger had been cast, but i've been proven very, very wrong.

- almost complete returning cast (save for katie holmes), makes for great continuity.

- although not unexpected, the beautiful cinematography

DISLIKES

- i like most of the new bat suit, with the exception of the legs. in some of the photos (though i should say that most of them are unofficial images), they look like armored tracksuit pants - they seem to 'bunch' too much).

- although i prefer maggie as an actress, for the sake of continuity it would have been good to see katie make a (brief) appearance as rachel dawes :oldrazz:

- the fact that i know too much already! same thing happened with spider-man 3 and i came out severely disappointed (although knowing nothing of the story prior to seeing the movie probably wouldn't have changed my opinion :woot:)

For me bar none the best part about the dark knight is Joker's "snitch scar" smile.

*Kisses fingertips like a French guy*

F**king MAGNIFICENT!

I pretty much like everything in this film. Hmm, I can't really think of anything I dislike.

I was pretty surprised by how many dislikes I came up with when I really thought about it.

Also, I've been saying for some time that this thing might suffer at the box office because it will be darker. Remember the complaints about Batman Returns? Its box office suffered as well.

Nolan is going for the teens and adults, but you don't easily replace that kid revenue.

I really havent had any dislikes in this film, I just hope that there isnt less Joker than what seems in the trailers, I hope he has the most face time, and we dont have to deal with a bunch of bruce/harvey "hey rachel do you like me circle one: YES or NO" bulls**t.
I dont like superheroes, actually I resent them, I always have been an always will be a super villain boy. People like General Zod, Joker, and ESPECIALLY Lex Luthor (Think about it, he has NO POWERS and goes against someone from Krypton. When you can put "Getting punched in the face by Superman" on yer job application, yer pretty f**king hard to say the least) are the reason I go to see these movies.
I dont want to see some millionairre go through a love triangle and act holier than thou, I want to see a anarchistic killer give a rich vigilante with a bunch of toys the comeuppance he so richly deserves and give him a run for his money. So yea, if this movie is 80% batty and 20% Joker, Ill DEFINITELY dislike that about the flick.

You must keep in mind, however, that Batman Begins was certainly not a kids movie and it did quite well, with a lot of good buzz. People wanna see this, and it isn't the children who buy movie tickets. The money for that comes out of the parents' wallet. And If the "child" is old enough to pay for their own ticket, they're certainly old enough to enjoy some nice, dark, Batman action :woot:

LOL I mean dont get me wrong, but in a choice between seeing Batman get his ass kicked by a guy with snitch scars and clown paint on or seeing him awkwardly try to score with a girl he cant land after 30 years of knowing her, Ill take the bat-beatdown.

Go watch B89.

I have almost exactly the same opinion. The legs look awful to me, but I also dislike the rest of the Batsuit. As other people have said, I find it too "busy", and the neck just looks way too scrawny, IMO.

I have the same fear. I'm worried about how gruesome Two-Face is gonna look, and whether he'll just be too scary for kids to handle.

Do I see a psychopathic supervillain in the making? :oldrazz:.

Seriously though, I wouldn't get your hopes up. I won't reveal anything in case you haven't been following the spoilers, but I think you might be expecting a lot more Joker than you're actually gonna get. I don't know though, so I hope you're not too disappointed when it comes out.

I would love it if the movie made over 400 mil ( it has the potential ) but I would be happy with a simple 200 mil enough to say you got a sequal when you want it cause this movie is being set up to be a clasic and being compared to clasic gang movies I mean the departed didnt make that much in the b/o but compleatly nocks the socks off Iron Man and Spider Man so if this movie is more on story and drama I'm all for it I want a movie I can watch 5 times with out getting bored once over a mindless popcorn flick

Dont say that =[
we start off with the Joker right off the bat
then we get the mob boss meeting and the fire burnng two different scenes
the party the chase scene
the interogation
the hijacking of the news station
the killing of a certain some one then the other killing of a other certain some one that leads to blowing up a thing full of people
then the whole holding the whole city hostage

we will be getting alot of Joker
:hoboj:
