The Dark Knight Likes And Dislikes

Who is this wipper-snapper you speak of? I can't remember.

The blonde boy that showed up when Bats was inspecting the house in the Narrows, right before he ges gassed by Scarecrow for the 1st time.
The kid also showed up at the beginning of the final battle, when Zsasz was going to kill him and Rachel. Batman saved them both, before revealing his identity to Rachel.

Of course, thanks for that. Yeah, he was well annoying.

It's not that he annoyed me, the kid acted pretty well and he was quiet. His placement, though? Random and forced at the same time.

Yeah exactly. The film could've done without it but at least he wasn't a smart-arse like Dakota effing Fanning in all of her movies.

I remember when some people on the board suggested that that kid might become Robin in future installments. Lol.

Am I the last one to know that the line"I believe in Havey Dent" came from the "Long Halloween" story?

Do you think the bat-myth works better as an urban legend or as a symbol of hope?

I personally can't buy it as a symbol of hope, at least not 100%. His whole persona is created to scare the crap out of bad guys. For a symbol of hope look at Supermans chest. :oldrazz: It's all... "American" and "heroic" and stuff :cwink:

I just dont buy the whole Urban legend at all I mean the police have a Huge Batsignal in the sky and they all found out about the bat the moment he showed up taking down Falcone

If Batman Begins would of been more like Batman then I could buy the whole myth thing but not in this world he was found out from the get go

Plus I like the whole city having there opinion on Batman one of the best parts of spiderman one was when every one was talking bout spiderman lol

& towards the whole Symbol of hope isnt that what Batman was going for in BB any ways with that whole speach towards alfrid in the plane

How is he annoying? He doesnt do anything but say a few words to batman and gets rescued by him. I dont see why people think hes annoying

a variation of that line actually first appeared in "the dark knight returns".

bruce says at one point "we must believe in harvey dent".

Dent in DKR? how can this be?

I for one dont like Tw0-Face's voice. I would like it to be more menacing.

i assume you have not read the book then?

and we have heard two lines.

give it half a chance.
1) i have but its been a couple of years. I dont remember Dent in DKR. Could you remind me how he fit into the story?

2) I was merely judging by those two lines. But Eckhart's voice is too...soft to be 2Face. He needs to change it.

the story opens with harvey getting his face fixed and has just been released. bruce wayne (who is said to have sponsored his therapy) says in reponse to gordon's skepticism:

"we must believe in harvey dent. we must believe that our private demons can be defeated"

then of course harvey runs rampant and tries to blow up some buildings.

I thought the dialogue was alot more normalized and less poetic in the scene
so thats good however
its just a bar scene with average shmos so doesnt mean the rest of the movie will be as good dialogue wise

Wow, i didnt remember that. Thanks!

Harvey has had operation so many times, i cant keep track anymore. BTAS, Hush and now DKR?

I really like all the lines I have heard so far, specially everything that is about the Joker or that he says, it seems like they completely captured the spirit of the character.

Yes, it was awesome in that horrible "damn, guess second chances don't work!" kind of way. :oldrazz:

A tragic plot line one might say.

yea kinda

until just now when I just found out from reading that

DISLIKES: (Updated as of this afternoon)

-Twoface's voice. I'm not going by much, I'll admitt. 2 words. But still, after a trasnformation like that, it just sounds too much the same. And yes his voice doesnt even have to change. He wasnt burnt in the throat or anything, but it should either be full-out transformed voice or just normal. What i heard from the clip just sounds somewhere in the middle... Not a huge deal, and im sure i'll get over it come July 18th:woot:

His tone was very controlled in that scene though as well. He was calm and collected, I personally wanna see what the voice response is like when twoface goes off in a fit of rage.

My only concern at the moment is that Two-Face looks like he might get a treatment similar to Venom in terms of his screen time. He will appear in the third part of the film and probably end up in Arkham with the Joker. However this is better than having him killed. We'll have to see if this happens and what it would mean in terms of a third movie.
