Dislike the kids in the new t.v. spot.
That new TV spot is just weak in general.
Dislike the kids in the new t.v. spot.
What about the batarangs, the grapple gun, the little explosives that he has? All potentially lethal. Even the tumbler had missiles. Doesnt mean he ll fire at people.
Nolan like every other director before him tries to show the amazement of the common person when he first sets eyes on the superhero.
dislikes: How Batman blows up everything and anything in sight. Not to mention how it seems that the majority of the time we see Batman, he'll be on his batpod. I thought Batman had legs...
Likes: Just about everything else.
Dont be...naive. Remember how the BB trailers had lots of Tumbler action so that we would stop whining and embrace it for its awesomeness? Its the same thing. Nolan keeps his moneyshots for the actual screening. He barely showed us Batman fight. And you know, we should be grateful, cause for example all of 300's moneyshots were around the net a week before its release! LAME!dislikes: How Batman blows up everything and anything in sight. Well, a movie needs its comic relief you know. A 2.30 hour movie so dark and serious as TDK would be very tiring for the audience if there isnt any comic relief.Just because they have done it, doesn't mean they have to.
There are more tactful and interesting ways to realsitically deal with public reaction to seeing a superhero. Ever read MARVELS?
I just get sick of the SAME reaction from every person who represents the public in these movies. Because, you know, the public is a pretty ****ing diverse group of folks with different reactions to things.
So...you've seen the movie...you sound so sure about yourself....or maybe you haven't seen the IMAX Opener. gtfo.
*facepalm*Watch the language, I saw the IMAX opener, and the only impressive thing about it was the joker, that's it.
I dont get the hate for the kids in the new TV spot.
I mean, it's 5 seconds long with two children 'playing guns' when there is an explosion and Batman drives by.
No 'WOW!" OR 'WICKED COOL'! or anything so...what exactly is wrong with it?
It's not like Bats stopped and told them to eat their veggies or anything.
I have to disagree. I knew I would have to explain what I wrote but here it goes : Batarangs, grapple guns, explosives are indeed potentially lethal but he uses them to disarm (mainly), move around the city, blow up locks. He's not going to make one of his enemies swallow a bomb.
On the other hand, those gigantic guns on the BatPod have a greater power. He probably has them for use against vehicles, or maybe to destroy bridges or the likes.
I think it just reminds people of stupid comedic scenes that really have no place in this type of film. I'm reminded of that horrendous shot of a dog covering his eyes in fear, during an F4 action scene. I mean, yes, it was literally one second of footage, but why was it needed?
Morality has absolutely nothing to do with realism.New likes.
1. Batman having guns.
2. Batman blowing **** up.
3. Batman locking the door on the law to implement his own version of "justice" on a prisoner.
4. Batman not giving a flyin 747 ****!!
Hell, **** a monastery, I hope he blows up a building filled with Joker goons. I'm tired of this absolutely no killing crap. This from alot of the same people who obsess over the "realism" of the movies. Lets make it really real and have him slip up and blow a few ****ers up here and there.

Anybody have the new TV spot? Can't seem to find it.
Yes, seriously. What makes you think reality has anything to do with an individual's personal values and moral code? No matter what it is, you can't deem it as unrealistic. It is just a viewpoint, after all.Seriously?
You don't see the convenience of the kids pretending to shoot up cars, only for the cars to actually a blow up a moment later? Then the obligatory shot of the kids' faces going "whoooaaa"...I sorta like the **** with the kids. Whats wrong with having them there (other than it encourages bringing kids to see the movie)?
