There, how fast was that?

You don't see Batman sitting, but he is emerging from the seating area.

Lol! That looked hilarious! Why is Bats in FULL costume in the court for a crime boss, and him jumping like that?:woot: (don't have to answer that)

That's what happens in the comics.

It's true

Maybe if the courtroom was completely enclosed or the trial took place at night so we could get away from the sunlight...

But the way I see it, Batman Begins is sticking with the well known recent graphic novels for inspiration (TLH, DV, YO, DKR, TKJ) where as the original franchise lends itself to the 70 year history of the Batman comics in a larger scope (B89 represents the 30s, BR represents the 90s, BF with the 50s, and B&R with the 60s) and in that regard, I'm fine with them cheating and having Batman in costume in the courtroom. Because that's how it was originally. Just like how originally, we didn't see Bruce travelling the world and as result we didn't see any of that in Batman 89.

But back to the topic at hand.

TLH handles Two-Face's origin perfectly though.

And if Nolan goes with the courtroom origin (which there's no reason why he shouldn't) they need to mimic TLH. It works for that book, and it would work in the Nolan universe.

I remember reading batman annual 19 and Bat's is incognito in that scene (in fact, he looks A LOT like Jean Reno in The Professional) and was watching the trial from the back row.

So which issue are you referring to with the court room scene and Batman in costume?

I posted my issues with it on the last page. Anyway, thanks for uploading Kevin, I see that Bats jumps out from the jury section.

Anyway, Two Face's lines in his first scene were pretty cool and I liked how they didn't show his scarred side at first, as well.

Two Face: Counting on the winged Avenger to deliver you...from evil.
Guard: Are you going to kill me?
Two Face: Maybe, maybe not, you could say we're of two minds on the subject.
...
Two Face: A flip of the coin, the only true justice...

Yeah, his whole first speech is spot on...

"You a gambling man? Well let's say we flip for it...one man is born a hero, his brother a coward...baby's starve, politicians grow fat...holy men are martyred, angelies grow legion...why? Why, why, why, why, why....LUCK! BLIND STUPID SIMPLE DOU DAH CLUELESS LUCK!!! The Wrath of Toss...Ah, the only true justice...let's see what justice...has in store...for YOU..."

Everything beyond that went downhill in Tommy Lee's vain attempt to be more over the top than Nicholson.

Completely agree.

It's like Schumacher told the actors "Ok, just try to outdo Nicholson's Joker!"

Riddler has been zany before, and Carrey did a really good job(IMO), so I didn't have much of a problem with him. But Two Face's character is always serious. And I won't even get started on Bane and Freeze lol.

Bane never had a chance in hell, Riddler was very entertaining but Jim Carrey always is. Two face could of been done great by Tommy Lee, everyone knows he is a good actor. Its most certainly Schumachers direction that is responsible for him being so bad.
