List of Things Batman Returns got Right/Wrong

wtf is this? dr. satan? batwing? wtf? what a flaming idiot.

Flaming idiot? Isn't that what you're doing with calling me an idiot?

i can plainly see that. but im not going to get into a flame war about it.

You surely as hell just did that by calling me an idiot.

your obviously one of those annoying as heck ppl on imdb.com that thinks they know everything and think the other bat films suck ass and that begins is the end all batman movie.

Did I said I know everything? Please tell me where. And I didn't said the other Bat films suck. I may have my share of problem with what Burton did, but I did somewhat enjoy Batman. And BF was ok. Also, nothing wrong with saying Begins is the end all Batman movie. You probably think the same way with liking other than BB.

Also, you want to talk about BB the end all of Batman movie? Then explain me your sig. It said that Burton's Batman will always be the best. Sound like your way of saying it the end all to Batman movies. Practice what you preach, pal.

first, your wrong.

How I can be wrong when it my opinions? I never once said things are fact. Just talking about my views.

2nd, shut the hell up.

Make me. I can say what I want as long it's not breaking the rules.

obviously your just another biased Begins nut who so obviously pefers nolans films, even the ones that havent been made yet.

Aren't you a biased Burton nut? I'm a Batman nut. I like Nolan's film, 'cause I think he got right. That is my opinion. You have your that you think Burton's films got it right, even thought I disagree. Let leave it at that.

And what you mean haven't beed made yet? Of course they have been made. He already did Batman Begins & The Dark Knight will be his 2nd. Just like what Burton did with 2 films. ;)

what a nolanite turd. wish there was an "ignore" option, you'd be the first to go on it.

Cut out the flaming, all right? I never call you an idiot. Lighten up already. If you're going to call me a Nolanite turd, I can say you're a Burtonite turd. Don't call others that, because you could be the same way on the opposite.

i have my opinion, and you have yours.

That's fine. I never try to change your opinions. I just disagree with them.

i can see your developing "Troll" behavior, and if thats the case, i hope you get banned soon.

And you think you aren't a troll, when you are complaining, flaming me, & putting down BB? I won't get banned anytime soon, since I'm not flaming you. If you keep up that rude behavior & flaming, you will be banned instead. Are you sure you're not brownish33/BatmanRules33/Batwing6655/Dr. Satan? Your typing, *****ing about those who like BB over Burton's films, etc. really say you are. Not to mention brownish33 like to put people on ignore & you want to do that here.

this website certainly doesnt need a another begins troll, or burton troll for that matter, which i am not. but i know you probabkly think i am.

Your behavior & love for Burton's films with putting down those who like BB while nitpicking too much make you sound like a Burtonite. If you has more class & not flame me and all that, I wouldn't have a problem with you.

And your sig. is all wrong btw. People do give a flying crap about the comics Because without the comics, Batman wouldn't exist & Burton wouldn't have much a career with that film. Let face it, Batman was from a comic & I find it hard to believe people wouldn't care about the comics when that how Batman was born. So amusing there. I guess those who don't give a crap are Burtonite fans who don't read comics with that kind of comments on no one care about the comics. If that is true, I wonder why Batman comics are still a big hit. :D :D

Right:

The batmobile was black.

Wrong:

Everything else. Dont get me started on the mutant Penguin and Zombie-ninja Catwoman.

He he! Zombie ninja. That's pretty funny there. :D :D

I forgot to mention I hate how pale Michelle look as Catwoman. The costumer & her act was great, but I didn't like how white she look. Another fine example of Burton making the movie weird & too gothic with using the goth look there for Catwoman. :p

Totally right.
I would elaborate, but I'm new here and I don't want to make any enemies just yet. :cwink:

Returns is the deepest, best acted and visually stimulating of all the movies no need for pages of pretentiuos dialouge telling us EVERYTHING instead we get the actors using their talent through looks facial features and movement along with the snappy dialouge BR has its fare share of bad dialouge but the actors are so good they pull most of it off.

Wonderfully said

I still don't why people think is not a sequel when there are very clear lines of dialogue that connect them. Dude, it's a sequel. Joel wanted Two Face to match the comics.

How is this? By making him a bumbling moron with a half purple barney face who wears cheetah stripes. If we're estimating by the comics, Burton and Billy Dee's version of Harvey Dent was far more faithful than Schumacher's "Happy Day Duh-Dah" version of Two Face. The only thing that's even different from William's Dent was his skin color. Joel's "Crazy Bones Jones" Two Face was changed in persona, psyche, personality, and given a ridiculously stupid look.

Yep! He sure did. The truth is when Billy Dee was cast nobody ready thought about Two Face. His role in Batman was so small that most people in the public won't really remember. Teeny? I'd say that was pretty big. What about the line where Robin say's "Your parent weren't killed my a maniac"? Face it dude, it is a sequel... just becuase it doesn't seem like one to you doesn't mean the rest of us think the same thing.

I want to gouge my eyeballs out whenever someone says this, when Billy Dee William's himself has said that he has read Batman comics and ONLY signed on because he was promised he would be able to play Two Face in a future movie. It was specifically stated in his contract, when Schumacher opted to use him for Tommy Lee Jones, Williams had to be paid a certain amount because he was promised the role of Two Face but didn't get it.

One of his most notable roles was in 1989's Batman as district attorney Harvey Dent. Williams originally took the role believing that it would land him in a sequel playing the supervillain Two-Face and arranged a pay or play contract in preparation for the role. However, the studio decided to pay the penalty fee instead when the time came for the third installment, Batman Forever in order cast to Tommy Lee Jones for the role.

This is also stated on the DVD.

I don't see why these threads are ever made Batman Returns nor Batman even Batman Begins are never intended to follow the comics 100% so people will always pick flaws in the film and you know what there is no one film which is flawless. I love Serenity, Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Casino Royale, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction but every single one of them have flaws.

You're totally right on the flaws in movies, but those threads open discussions that helps bringing new points about some common passion, things we are happy to notice for the first time, to understand better, other opinion or fact we have to point out to balance the good and the bad, other we develop on, etc. That's cool! Except for redundant bickering...now that is unbearable, but some short movie analysis can be seen through many posts, that being interesting. Hope this post made sense with what you were talking about, ;-)

So Batman Returns was crappy , huh? :yay:

Somewhat. It better than "Batman & Robin" that for sure. Not to mention it has Walken. Of all the actors, I like him the best in BR. He can't do any wrong. Why else everyone love his "I need more cowbells" lines? Exactly! It because of him. :D :D

Far better that B&R!

Walken rules. I love this Walken line from The Rundown.
"I feel like a little boy who's lost his first tooth, put it under his pillow, waiting for the tooth-fairy to come. Only two evil burglars have crept in my window, and snatched it, before she could get here... Wait a second, do you understand the CONCEPT of the tooth-fairy? Explain it to them... Wait. She takes the god damned thing, and gives you a quarter. They've got my tooth. I want it back. "

Sorry, what I meant was I think Joel wanted Two Face to be white.

I never knew that. Learn something new everyday. I must say If he really thought that he's a dumbass.

When Bravo showed their greatest superheroes special (Batman #3), I was pissed when they said that the sequels after B89 were terrible and they montaged Batman Returns along with BF and B&R! :cmad:

Yeah, that is crap! But most of the public didn't like BR, it was not recieved well. Burton still gets crap to this day about that film, I don't agree. I love it!

It was critically well-received--80% on RT--but probably not by the soccer moms. :ninja:
