Musical Little Shop of Horrors (2nd Remake)

I can’t see ScarJo as Audrey. Maybe Anne Hathaway...

Who voices Audrey 2? Billy Porter?

I always wanted to race lift everybody and have like Donald Glover as Seymour and some Asian or Latina chick as Audrey.

JGL has a movie he just finished filming a little while ago.

I hope Scarlett Johansson joins this

Is Greg Berlanti still directing? If he is, I'm not interested.
As of now, yes. Why? Just because of the CW shows? He directed Love, Simon as well and that was actually pretty good.

Aside from the CW shows being lowest common denominator, I also found "Life As We Know It" to be incredibly bland and vanilla, just BLAH.

He doesn't really strike me as one to have the vision to make this anything more than bland.

I'm 100% on board for Taron as Seymour. Donald Glover and Billy Porter are both great suggestions for Audrey II. Not so sure about Scarlet as Audrey. (It's crazy to think she's only 5 years older than Taron, though.)

Like others have said, I really hope that they get a more diverse cast for this. For example, I think Janelle Monáe could be a great Audrey.

And this raises another question: Which ending do they go with?

Hell yes to Janelle Monae as Audrey. Or Janelle Monae as Audrey II. Or Janelle Monae as ALL THREE of the singers who do the theme, lol.

**** it, after that Oscars performance, Janelle Monae for everything. She can be the next Juliet, Sarah Connor, Batman, James Bond, Godzilla and Hamlet.

I’m interested in who plays the dentist. For some reason I can see Hugh Jackman doing it.
Hugh would be a great choice.

Eh. I don't fault him for the CW shows because I think he just knows his audience there and like I said, Love, Simon was solid. I'm willing to give it a chance, especially if Taron and Scarlett do indeed join the cast.

I love Taron as Seymour and I think Scarlett would be a good choice for Audrey. I think they'll find ways to add more diversity to this with someone else as Mushnik and Arthur Denton (Bill Murray's role) and such. I hope they go with the alternate ending for this one.

Is this going to be set in the 50's and use all the stage musical songs?

I think that would factor into casting.

Like, if it were set in the 1950's and were using all the misical songs then if the choice for Audrey II were between say Wayne Brady or Donald Glover I would go with Brady.

If this were a modern set film with new songs or modernized interpretations of of the original then I would get Glover for sure.

As for ScarJo? I think a gloss on her Don Juan character actually would fit Audrey.

Glad he’s trying different roles instead of more action movies like Hemsworth did.

I'm down for that. Loving the cast so far. Hopefully Egerton and Johansson close their deals

I'm reading a lot of stories online that are saying Billy Porter has already signed on to play Audrey 2. I suggested it on here but had no idea he was actually in the running.

Funny how things come to be in Hollywood. Wouldn't be surprised if Berlanti and his casting team saw that interview and reached out to him. Could see him killing the Dentist role.
