Fantasy Live Action ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ (Universal)

Reading reviews. This movie being totally bankrupt in terms of a creativity in the same summer as a Disney remake, that actually showed some, in kind of insane.
I know it's only at 80 reviews on RT right now but I'm surprised they aren't more overwhelmingly negative. Critics usually dismiss straight up carbon copy remakes right off the bat. *Gestures wildly at The Lion King*

Yeah, they read worse then the score. Maybe it's because Disney has a well deserved rep in this regard, so they go harder. Also as much as the original is beloved (one of my favorites), Dreamworks flicks aren't held in the same esteem.

I find it funny that a lot of issues people had with Lilo and Stitch were changes I appreciated making it feel like a different film with the same soul.

At least this film embraced the cartoony design of Toothless. **** Favreau and his hyper realistic animals.
